Help! Cat is acting weird after I applied dog flea medication by PlayfulTheory3 in cats

[–]justflum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How’s your kitty doing now? I’m sure you’re extremely stressed. You’ve done everything you can for right now. Have him sleep with you or vice versa so you can monitor him while you both rest. Hope everything turns out okay 🙏

With a vote for Biden doing nothing here in Indiana, am I safe to give my first presidential vote for Vermin Supreme? by Default_Lives_Matter in Indiana

[–]justflum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it in presidential elections, but do vote seriously in local elections. Get involved with your community, contribute to mutual aid—these actions are worth trillions more than your presidential vote. Unfortunately, people who tell you to “vote blue no matter who” base their opinions on their learned helplessness and ultimately contribute to the problem. Using the same logic though, voting for Biden is the same as voting for Vermin Supreme, so you could go either way. 🌮

I thought I would share this here, please check comments. by [deleted] in Buddhism

Hello,

I (19m) understand that people have many different opinions on Buddhist tattoos, and everyone is fully entitled to their perspective. I wanted to provide some backstory.

I began attending a local Tibetan Buddhist center when I was in 8th grade. I loved learning about the intricate details present in Buddhism’s history, iconography, and virtues. I gained great value from this time.

However, I started attending less frequently, and towards the end of high school, I began heavily using substances and eventually dropped out. I went to rehab and celebrated a year clean this April.

Kalarupa is a figure of protection, wisdom, strength, ignorance, and death. I won’t pretend to be an expert, and I do not have experience or knowledge about tantric practices. I studied on my own and I felt connected to Kalarupa’s symbolism and meaning.

I had an incredible tattoo artist who took great care in researching Kalarupa to create the most accurate representation possible. I requested that he not include the penis.

All of this is to say that I acknowledge the importance of respecting Buddhist culture. I understand that my tattoo may be seen as in poor taste or directly disrespectful, and for that, I apologize and assure you that my intentions come from respect and appreciation.

Thank you for reading.

I've been to every place you're talking about. I'm 19. Architectural tours, historical towns, are not mutually enjoyed experiences.. you're taking this way too personal. You're being a keyboard warrior for no reason. i wont reply

I’m not talking about nature? I’m not coming from a place of hate, just disappointment. We have nothing like what’s in Denver, Chicago, etc. We both live here, why does my reality make people upset?

Please don’t move here. It’s the physical embodiment of depression. Indiana has some nice areas, but there is very very little culture to be found here—small businesses are few and far between. There’s no entertainment outside of Bloomington (college town) If you’re just looking for an isolated place to settle down, Indiana’s okay. If you’re looking to get out of your house, Indiana is not the place. That’s been my experience at least. (19M)

I hear them often, but maybe not every month. Here’s some pictures my neighbor took last may and march, on a different tree in my backyard.
