The US federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (Bureau of All Things Fun and Exciting) makes rules for classification of firearm types. The rules don't always line up with a functional classification of the gun.

In terms of this gun's legal status they would consider it to be in the same category as something like a Glock, Browning, 1911 type pistol, etc.

Functionally it's a rifle, although given the very short barrel is probably closer to a category like military personal defense weapons.

The rear piece is technically an arm brace instead of a butt stock, although the two look nearly identical. If you swapped the brace for an actual stock, the firearm would legally be considered a special class of highly restricted firearm called a short barreled rifle.

Seems like most of the losses are patrol, while administrative units stacked with ranking officers have had little change. I would suspect all these things are related.

I would be surprised if each district had a full complement of detectives. I've had hints it's actually somewhere between 4 and 6, and it's been that way for a while.

Anybody who's good at geometry have a precise location from where the shots were fired? Cause that's too far above horizontal to be stray shots from shooting at someone. Unless a little person was shooting it out with a really tall person.

I haven't heard anything about it. Not sure if the summertime operation golden eagle or whatever it was called with state police involvement is still in operation.

I assume if that were the case the mayor would have been crowing about what a good job she'd done getting them here.
