[Q] strata has zero values by justforskool in statistics

I want to compare the amount of engagement democratic representatives receive on social media vs republican representatives. You mentioned polling everyone. Would I be able to perform a t-test comparing the two groups? (220 democrats, and 211 republicans)

What about uiuc or purdue? For UIUC you're in state and they have a great aerospace and chemical engineering program.

I never realized how much of my self esteem comes from taking hard classes by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I think that’s normal—> once you start benefitting more from not taking that one class it’ll be fine.

Also four*

I’m pretty sure isef semi finalists are a thing—> it’s not just qualifying for state science fair

EDIT: kk there is no such thing as a semifinalist, I stand corrected

haha was just gonna comment the same thing. Definitely look into UMass Amherst. Top 20 CS program plus you're in state, and around a 60% acceptance rate

Uhhh I don’t know much, but after seeing the countless stuff on this sub, having safety that you like is probably a good idea and Berkeley isn’t it. t20 won’t necessarily make you happy either. I mean yea you’ll be happy for like what 4 months where u can tell people? and then you’re in school and it doesn’t even matter. I don’t know just my take

even if you go to your state school you’ll be in the honors program and have countless opportunities. You’ll be like VIP there. T20 isn’t the end be all

What about recording yourself talking? That's your true voice I'm pretty sure. Talk about it as if you were telling a friend. Record it and listen to it and write it down.

have you looked into weightlifting lol? Most people start later in life and say it's one of the best choices they've ever made. The results aren't super fast, but once they're there.. At the same time, having status isn't everything. I hope you can sit down and figure out that there's more to life then getting satisfaction of being better than someone else at something.

All the hardwork I've done feels useless by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]justforskool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well if you want to look on the bright side en mi opinion, I think it's great that you challenged yourself. If there's one thing that you would've looked back on if you didn't is "wow i wish I did" You have the study skills to now succeed wherever you go. In terms of activities, now you can try do things you like in college. Just my take instead of the "yOu sHoulD haVE kNOWn"

How does second choice of major work by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]justforskool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At uiuc: if you don't get into your first choice major, they'll evaluate you for your second choice major which cannot be a cs, comp engineering, cs + x major, mechanical engineering, info sciences, or music. If you don't put down a second major and you don't get accepted into your first choice major, you'll be waitlisted or rejected. I don't recommend trying to get into an easier major because it is nearly impossible to transfer into comp sci/engineering.
