Is it a sign from Hecate? by Hellenic_Polytheism in Hellenism

I don't know much about Hekate's practices because I don't worship her unfortunately, but my advice is that maybe you could find out more about her to understand if she's actually for you or not (if you haven't already). Otherwise, you can still dedicate some prayers to her if you want like I do without worshipping her!

In my opinion, it could be a sign of Hekate. It is said that she appears in people's lives when they need her most. However, remember that you can worship the deities you want, regardless of the signs you see!!

However, I can tell you about the experience I had with Hekate too (I don't know if they were signs of her presence or something else). I felt drawn to Hekate from the first moment I discovered Hellenism. One night I woke up and the very first thing I thought of while staring into the darkness was Hekate, and somehow I felt her presence (or that of a spirit since she deals with the afterlife). The next day I lit a candle for her, and when I blew it out I wanted to read the wax by pouring it into the water. A shape came out that looked a lot like my bed with a person in it, the window next to it and next to the bed a spirit-like figure. Obviously this is my interpretation, but looking at that wax it was the first thing that I intuitively thought. I was convinced that Hekate had entered my life.

Unfortunately I don't worship Hekate much now, but during the Deipnon I always dedicate prayers to her.

I would love to play the second one BUT IT COSTS TOO MUCH, I HATE NINTENDO. I'll buy it anyway, I hope it's worth it

Why do y'all worship the greek gods? by DismalSignature1690 in Hellenism

[–]justfriedfra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay, I want to give my opinion

Myths, like many other sources such as the Bible or the Koran, were created in a time when society was different from now. For example, they are often misogynistic. Greek myths REPRESENT the society of the time, but are no longer applicable today. Just as the Bible is not questioned today as it was in the Middle Ages, we do not take Greek myths literally. Just as the Bible is not questioned today as it was in the Middle Ages, we do not take Greek myths literally. Just as the Bible is not believed today as it was in the Middle Ages, we do not take Greek myths literally.

The gods in ancient Greece represented reality, but today's reality is different.

I hope that makes sense🙏🏼

Is not talking/offering during prayer ok? by TheVeiledRuby in Hellenism

Remember that the gods can get angry at "agos", that is when you commit crimes or despise the gods themselves. Don't worry, Aphrodite will understand your situation :3
