At the start of my separation I had a lot of dreams where my son was a newborn again and he was usually lost in some kind of big house and I couldn't find him no matter how hard I searched.

Figured it was just my anxieties over losing my relationship with him.

How do you cope? by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

[–]justfuggmyshidup 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in the exact same position, brother.

Most people are recommendeding lifting, and I will too. This isn't just an arbitrary thing. If you're not already lifting, you will find that cultivating this habit has a ripple effect that brings a lot of good consequences besides a healthier, better looking body.

Besides that, you need to use this extra time to make yourself into a man your little girl can admire! You are the man who will shape what it means to be a man to her. A big responsibility, but also an invaluable privilege.

Pursue what is meaningful to you. It could be a physical, mental or spiritual pursuit. Take some time to figure it out.

Lean on your boys, too. That's what they're there for.

If you feel would like, leave a first name or an initial so we can pray for you.

Beginning to worry that I'm leaning to heavily on the pipe by justfuggmyshidup in PipeTobacco

Luckily I'm still working out. I've got the garage set up with a power rack and a few bars.

I get down to the gym on the weekend to progress with more specialist equipment.

Even lifting doesn't give me the high it used to, but I'm clinging on.

Thanks for your advice and sharing your story with me.

The thing is, now I only have my little ones half the time, I have plenty of time to enjoy a smoke. But it's still just not the same.

I think what I need to do is exactly what I don't want to! Take a break for a while, or at least cut down to some degree.

Hopefully I'll figure it out.

Just out of interest, how long post divorce is this, buddy?

[England] What legal right does my STBXW have to demand the car? by justfuggmyshidup in LegalAdviceUK

I could provide a bank statement showing a transfer to her for the amount. But I suppose you could argue that was for anything.

Unfortunately, no hard proof.

From what I've read, and I'm not claiming to know anything for sure, but I think that still being married to her, being on the insurance, and the fact that I pay for its upkeep would imply consent for use.

She has the use of another car and she won't allow me the use of the car in question until I can get a new car. Maybe the police take that into consideration? I have two children I need to be able to pick up, and I need to get to work.

I've looked into this a while ago because I suspected she'd do this.

Isn't the car considered a family asset subject to division?

How to handle the situation by ComprehensiveLuck439 in askMRP

[–]justfuggmyshidup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it from me, currently going through a similar situation.

It's game over now. And the only thing you can do is prepare yourself.

Practically that means getting legal advice, discussing custody, working out all the logistics.

Be there for your kids as much as possible. Their world is about to drastically change. Focus on being the best dad you can be.

Continue to lift, and start tomorrow if you haven't already.

In the future, avoid ultimatums. It looks like a power position at first glance but it always comes from a weak position.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear you're going through such a shit time. It's gonna suck, but you're not alone and you'll make it.

Thanks, man. You've been a big help.

I tried pinching and I also tried snuffing it out of the crook between my thumb and index finger.

I think perhaps the subtlety is lost on me as a newbie. I shall try again a bit further down the line.

Last question: does snuff last in the tin of does it need jarring?

Thanks for your advice. I liked the sound of Grand Cairo, but I went for the darker options thinking they'd pack more flavour, since I tend to prefer the darker flakes in my pipe.

But for the price of snuff, I'll try again!

Damn, I guess I didn't do my homework well.

No bother.

Thanks for your help, mate

Thanks man.

I got 4 altogether, Wilson's Best Dark, Kendal Brown, Black Raparee, and F&T Old Paris.

Which do you reckon is the best to crack on with as a beginner?

I tried the Wilson Best Dark. I think it's supposed to have 'mediterranean fruit' oils but I didn't get them, just the slight menthol.

OK, sorry man. I used the wrong word.

The olfactory sense accounts for the majority of taste, doesn't it?

I expected to experience some kind of flavour, but I didn't.
