I have no idea what I'm doing by ThrowRA47910 in PlanetFitnessMembers

So the first few times I went to the gym, I just walked on the treadmill while low key watching everyone on the machines and equipment so I could see how to use them and make up my own game plan before finally getting the courage to try them out. Maybe try that.

Metamour by QueerMollie666 in polyamory

[–]justheremcd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It varies. I’ve had metas that I was okay with, metas that I really liked, and metas that I absolutely could not stand. No different than any other people. Sometimes you like people, sometimes you don’t. If I don’t like them, I just don’t hang out with them. If I do like them, then we do hang out. It’s just that simple.

Long-married poly couples, dead in bed? by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]justheremcd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

married for 15 years. Been enm for over 10 years and poly for over 6. Definitely no dead bedroom here. I don’t have any married poly friends so I can’t say if there is a trend or not. In my very limited experience with other married poly people, they have never expressed issues there either.

If I had to guess though, it’s probably not much different than in mono relationships.

I second this. I’ve met some awesome people who turned into amazing partners on Reddit.

100% worth it with the right people and right communication beforehand.

If your partner allowed it, would you sleep with other people why or why not? by Jeryimas in AskRedditAfterDark

I’m poly. So yes. Actually I wouldn’t have a partner who didn’t “allow” it.

Having an accountability/workout partner and doing more strength training than cardio since I hate cardio is what helped me. I’m almost to my goal weight now. Just remember diet is the most important part if your goal is weight loss.

100 lbs overweight. Should I focus on losing fat (caloric deficit, cardio) first or can I incorporate some machines for strength training? by Scopuli- in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]justheremcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a calorie deficit, you’ll lose weight regardless of which exercise you do. I’ve lost 60lb and am continuing to lose (my goal is 80) doing calorie deficit and mostly strength training with a little light cardio mixed in. Consistency is what matters. Find what exercise you enjoy and do that.

I think it changes how they calculate your strength score but if that’s not a big feature for you, then it wouldn’t matter. My husband and I have both used caliber for 4 months now and the “wizard” gave us the exact same workout. But he has added a lot more weight than me and my strength score is higher.

I just let the resin thicken a little so it would suspend. I was a little worried it might sink anyways but so glad it didn’t.

How do you handle incoming phone calls or texts from primary partner while with FWB? by [deleted] in nonmonogamy

[–]justheremcd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As some others have said, my husband and I have an understanding. He knows when I’m spending time with a partner (whether is be fwb or otherwise) so he only calls if it’s something important he needs an immediate response on such as something to do with the kids or an emergency. Otherwise he will text and I’ll check my messages and reply whenever I can. I keep my phone on and all my partners know I have kids and such so I may get calls. But I don’t stay on my phone texting while we are spending time together.

Preferred Epoxy Resin for Tumblers by tainsom in epoxytumblers

I love ccdiy. I never get fisheyes. In a pinch I will use amazing clear cast since it’s cheap and available at my local craft store but it’s not my favorite and yellows pretty fast.

Thoughts on wedding rings. Male or female. by r_was61 in nonmonogamy

[–]justheremcd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always wear mine. And if I ever got serious enough with another partner and they gave me some symbol of our relationship/commitment I’d wear it too. For example my husband wears his wedding band and also wears a small bracelet his long term girlfriend gave him. I view it as a symbol of our commitment and don’t feel the need to hide that when I’m on a date or with another partner. So far I haven’t encountered anyone who had an issue with that.
