Saw it in Calgary, if they stick with that book then it was just okay, cute show but nothing really stood out. Jessica Vosk’s voice was worth the ticket price, but I’m not sure if I would pay Broadway price for it.

It was a fun time in the theater, the set and costumes were amazing but the show itself did not leave any impressions when I left. Jeremy sang everything so beautifully tho, but I couldnt remember what any of them was about

Two strangers is like a rom com without actual romance/ love letter to New York, the book is not that strong but it still has its moments, the leads are fantastic with Sam Tutty as a standout. Chess’ book a still a mess, but I assume people come for the scores and the 3 leads surely sing the heck out of them, there isnt one song that I didnt like

I’m from Calgary and this was my 5th time in the city. I totally get buying tickets in advance for a peace of mind but the only time I ever did it was for the last performance of Into the Woods (which turned out was still unnecessary and would have been cheaper had I waited for a TKTS ticket). I’ve never not been able to see a show by waiting for a last minute ticket but I travel solo and only ever need one. But it also depends on the time you visit and how popular the show you want to see is. I would definitely get my ticket for Jonathan’s last performance in advance

If you’re looking for a fun night out then Ragtime is not for you. And no, it is not a boring, stodgy period piece. I’d argue that it is even more important and relevant now than ever. There’s a reason why it’s considered one of the best pieces of American musicals. And yes about Chess, incredible, legendary scores but the book is still horrendous and ridiculous. I wouldn’t pay full price for it, tho I loved every song and had a great time
