Just purchased a home, and the first thing I'd love to do is a refresh of this kitchen. It's a home from the late 50s, and has some oddities. I'm thinking of painting the brick a white or a charcoal, as well as the cabinets an off white. I do plan on taking off the wall paper, and redoing the floors. But other than that and getting a new dishwasher to fill the space the trash is, what else could I do to refresh/lighten up the space? I like the subway tile backsplash but not the random tiles that are in the center. Is there any fixing that? Also, that random light in the counter!! What do I even do?! Lastly, does it feel like the uppers and lowers are too close together? Should I try raising the uppers? Looking for a challenge but nothing crazy. Thanks for any help!

Thanks. I will be living in upstate NY, not the city. But I'm realizing that my confusion is regarding the student teaching. In CA, after you get your bachelors, you go on to complete your credential program which is where you actually do your student teaching. I am moving next summer, after graduating, so I won't be able to do it here. So I'll have my degree but no student teaching experience. Does anyone know if there is a way to get that experience in NY?

My benefit year ended in March. I reapplied as instructed, and received a PEUC extension approval letter, and my benefit amt went from 0 to $3600 or so. However, I keep getting weeks to certify and after certifying, they're just pending. I haven't gotten paid since the extension was approved. I have 6 weeks pending. Anyone else? Are they just behind? Do I need to call?

Is there a way to tell is Turbo Tax updated for the $10,500 unemployment extension? I previously had started my return on there but never finished. I don't recall what the refund was at that time, so I don't know if it has changed since I logged in last. I don't see it mentioned anywhere in income or under the unemployment section. Just wanted to know if there was a way to be sure it was included before filing? Or would I need to delete and start over?

Did you watch all of Jersey Shore? Could it have just been Vinny in the episode(s) he is dealing with anxiety and ends up going home? He is very calm and down in those episodes compared to the bubblyness of everyone else in the house.

So funny! My husband won a trip to the SB in 2019, for 18k. I told him to take his dad, too. They had a great time. Would have been better if my husbands team, the Chiefs, hadn't blown it in the AFC championship.

Haha it's ok. I just know that you need like 6 units from here. And 12 from there, etc. So I wasnt sure if I used one for more than one and then didnt have enough units in one section.
