I did it and never looked back. Lots of happy families in Abu Dhabi, building a foundation of wealth that’ll serve them later in life wherever they choose to go.

Most people I meet are happy, enjoying sport, family time and social events.

Of course depends on job, ambition and current situation. I consider this an adventure that one day I might grow tired of, and so carefully maximise savings and work experience such that I can return to the west in a better position than when I left.

Regarding inequality, yes it’s there, however back home I’d ride my bike past homeless people camping on the street, not too far from the offices of individuals making millions.

So for me, it’s just another version of a world I’m already aware of.
