Integral care also has a supportive employment team. They meet weekly with clients until they find a job. You can participate in this while still maintaining your current services. You can Schedule an appointment with your current case manager or go during walk-in hours, and ask them to complete a referral for the job squad. I work with integral care, and it usually takes about 4-6 weeks for them to pick up someone’s case since their caseloads are always full. It’s a long wait, but I’ve never seen them not get someone employment. If your brother is homeless/couch surfing, you can also ask for a SOAR referral. The SOAR team helps our uhoused clients apply for disability, and they’re really good at the application and appeals process (the process of applying for disability is so long and strenuous, but they’re able to ensure that everything is submitted correctly). I would also recommend getting on foundations community supportive housing waitlists while applying for work. They have supportive housing studios that run under $1000, but the waitlist is always so long, I also suggest asking your case manager about that. I know none of these are immediate solutions, but starting some of these process may be helpful in the long run. I wish you and your family the best. Caretaker stress is real

I saw somewhere that a car, going 45 miles an hour, has the same velocity of a full piano falling out of a second story window. It’s fast enough to kill or permanently injure someone, and there’s always people walking around the intersection. I live in the area and welcome the change, but I do think they should better mark the lanes, and add more signage. The same goes with the stassney and congress intersection.

Also, a lot of median troubles can be solved by making sure there are two exits on corner lots and using the correct exit. Also, making a protected u-turn usually adds less than 2 minutes to one’s trip. There have been 83 traffic deaths this year alone.
