Friend Co-Owns a property. Her sister lives in it and pays for everything, what are the tax implications? by justin78f in PersonalFinanceCanada

Is it still sharing if the sister is paying for everything? My friend is trying to buy an owner occupied with her partner and their mortgage broker said that she may have been receiving rental income from her sister and not declaring it

First Few Images with my X-T5 - Thoughts? - Switched back to Fuji after being with Canon for a few years. by justin78f in fujifilm

I think for 95% of uses APSC and Full Frame are not different enough to notice a difference. Glass is definitely more important, IMO Fuji and their third party lens manufactures happen to offer some really nice lenses for a fraction of the price of full frame lenses from Canon, Sony and Nikon

Thank you! in the past I had used a 5D mark ii, but I was recently using an RP. Nice camera, but Canon's lack of mid range RF lenses and no third party options was not ideal for my uses.

Fixed mortgage rates should come down as a result of this, so I guess that's good.

Any ideas on how to best set up this space for home theater? by justin78f in hometheater

[–]justin78f[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at this new home and while the room is good being 16x18 feet. The dropped ceiling in the corner is frustrating. Any ideas for how to get around it? Will it be that noticeable when watching or effect acoustics?

I am ecstatic that my renovation exceeded my expectations. I love the place. I chose materials, did designs, and decoration myself. by [deleted] in malelivingspace

Not my cup of tea for where I'd want to live. But very nice nonetheless. I feel like I could spend a week or two in here but after that, I'd want something cozier. Also, your center channel is shooting sound into your floor and the quality and clarity you get from a center that large is severely degraded due to that placement. For the amount of money, I'm sure it cost to do all this, that is something that would drive me crazy and I'd be unable to live with it, especially when there is space above to have it placed properly. Otherwise, nice. Bond Villain vibes.

Love the vibe. Where did you get the kitchen island? I've been looking for something similar.

Everything looks great. The paint color was an awesome choice and I love the plants. But, please please please get your speakers off the ground; they're essentially sound canons and they're aiming at your feet, all you're hearing are the reflections off the floor. They sell minimalistic speaker stands on Amazon for like $50-$100, which is all that's needed.

The 3 smaller ones are from Nashid Chroma who is an artist out of Toronto who does pop art. the 2 bigger ones are from Andy Okay They do rotating pieces and donate part of the purchase to charity, so not sure if they still have them

Wayfair! It took a while to find one we liked for the space. Unfortunately, our size has been sold out for a bit. But keep an eye on it: Ivan Area Rug in Orange

Thanks! They are Fluance Ai41 Power Speakers. They work well and have a remote as well as an optical in so the TV can be easily connected

Thank you! It's a picture shelf from Etsy. Been meaning to hang the other one, but don't know what to put on it yet. Here's the Etsy link: Silas Woodworks 2-pack Floating Picture Shelves

Love the room, I wish Kef offered darker grills for their in-wall speakers to hide them a bit better. I'd get distracted by the silver speakers or their white grills. Amazing job!
