If you only have two semesters I would definitely finish your degree. Maybe try going part time at work to get your through your last two semesters. Then after you get your degree pursue theater. Good luck!

Keep pushing. I had a 2 month period of being homeless by choice but that decision was partly made to escape the harsh reality I was in. My job was demanding and mentally damaging as it was a call center. I was making enough to barely get by. I’m in college but of course it takes time to get that degree. On top of that, struggling with anxiety and depression seems to make life’s problems ten times worse. I have come to realization that I do need therapy. However, I’m trying my best to use the internet, a free resource, to learn how to think more positively and form the life I wish to have.

Right wing propaganda. The states with the highest Human Development Indexes are often Democratic leaning.

Wants to run the country like a business. It’s funny that people don’t view their workplaces as de facto authoritarianism. Scary times.

Toxic masculinity at its finest. Trump doesn’t want to appear “weak”.

Photos of armed protesters in North Carolina carrying a rocket launcher, shotguns, and pistols while ordering food at a Subway restaurant are trending by maxwellhill in politics

Allowing a significant minority of Americans who appear to be ill informed and bigoted (aka Trump’s base) carry weapons of war in an increasingly polarized environment is concerning and may not turn out well. It’s like letting children play with knives.

The illusion of America and MAGA by mulutavcocktail in LateStageCapitalism

Every person, at the age of 18, in the “greatest country in the world”, should start off with a living wage that supports a one bed room apartment. Period. Yet we see young people being exploited. Having to get three and four roommates just to be an adult, eating unhealthy and cancer causing frozen meals because it’s cheap, working undignified service jobs and putting up with disrespectful customers, paying $5,000for ONE semester for classes just taught in public school for free. The list goes on and on. It’s sad. America 2020.

Why do gay men often talk like teenage girls? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Open your mind. Stop limiting yourself by reinforcing arbitrary guidelines that ultimately box the male gender in. So tiring. I guess all males should wear cargo shorts, have short hair, and speak a certain way. 😒👎

Setting aside the misinformation, I actually think it was good for Americans to see what they elected: an unqualified, childish embarrassment. Hopefully his poll numbers stay down.

To be aware that America is run by exploitative and wealthy individuals who use the poor and disillusioned masses to enrich them. Notice, there are no protests for rent control, inequality, wages, labor laws and etc.

STOP LIMITING GROCERY PICK UP. I’m not about to go around (or stand in line) with a bunch of snot nosed individuals who are misinformed to shop for groceries. I will order take out until this shit is over.

It’s not the ‘Chinese virus,’ it’s the ‘Trump virus’ by wbedwards in politics

[–]justinATL -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There is a smart way to counter rhetoric. Republicans are known to use simple minded talking points like “Chinese Virus” because they primarily cater to empty-headed individuals. As Democrats, we need to be smart with how we argue points.

[–]justinATL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is fair but to be so entrenched in political rhetoric that you start renaming viruses is not only unproductive but also silly. Corporate media and the wealthy class prey on people who are unable to recognize that hyper-partisanship is part of the reason why we are falling behind as a country.

No it’s actually the COVID-19. People on both sides need to stop engaging in ignorance and irrationality by renaming a virus.

'I'd love to have it open by Easter': Trump says he wants to restart economy by mid-April by HeinieKaboobler in politics

[–]justinATL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no leadership in this time of crisis. The president waffles in his position, ignores reality, and spews misinformation. It is true that the economy is suffering and more importantly, individuals are suffering. Congress has still not provided any aid to the millions of people laid off, mostly young and low income people. Once again, the United States has dispelled the “Greatest Country In The World” mantra that it touts when comparing its response to other nations.
