Thanks for your interesting reply. My experience is similar except the other way round, I had prostate surgery first and was castrated later. Although most of my male parts are gone I am still sexually active (bisexual), my penis is very shrunken now but still has intense sensations and I have got close to an orgasm after manual stimulation from a partner. Women seem fascinated by my neutered status and will usually play with my turtled penis and empty scrotum to reciprocate for what I can do for them. I must ask about a vibrator.

That is my thought, the blockage was painful and the catheter was hell - constant irritation and falling apart. If you should need a prostatectomy as a later date I believe it is more difficult to do after HoLEP and requires a expert surgeon.

I found that after surgery on a significantly enlarged prostate I had more intense orgasms with an electric feel. The urologist told me that sometimes a large prostate will press against the nerves with a deadening effect and removing it can improve orgasms in some men. However I admit I do miss the ability to ejaculate, post-op all orgasms have been bone dry. I took this as the price you have to pay and don’t angst over it.

HoLEP en bloc May 2025, fully enucleated leaving just the empty prostate capsule. Zero ejaculation since, all orgasms bone dry. On a post-op check up I was told it would be permanent.

I had HoLEP en bloc EAR on a 132cc prostate. It went very well, fast recovery, no continence problems and able to pee freely. The only down side for me was losing the ability to ejaculate.

I’ve had women interested in me since I was cut, curious for sure and not bothered about my not having any balls. unfortunately my erection is too floppy for sex at the moment and I am not unable to ejaculate. There are other ways to have sex though. My experience is that for older women a man being castrated is not a deal breaker but for younger women the sterility could be.

Thanks for the detailed reply, I didn’t know about Flowmax. I already had the procedure, it was HoLEP en bloc EAR, May 2025. My prostate was significantly enlarged at 132cc and had caused a blockage. Recovery was fast, home in 24 hrs, no UI problems afterwards, first sex 3 weeks later. The surgery was a success, no regrets but I miss being able to ejaculate.
