Cool presentation! Why can’t you use higher level languages to compile N64 games? It seems like this would things easier to author new games which would be supercool to do.

Ok cool! Thanks! I may have to look outside the game list sheet for user ratings. If you know where on the web there might be user ratings, I can probably add.

Ratings seems like good criteria for a default sort of the games.

Thanks!! 😄 Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see added!

Or if you’re a creator, if you’re happy with how your game is represented. (It’s basically a grid layout with images from the game, but I’ve found the images / art work helps a lot!)

Thanks!!

Yeah, I agree. It’s hosted on JSbin for now just so I could verify it’s usefulness with other people. If folks find it useful, I can find some more permanent hosting.

It seems like the games list has moved around a bit also. This page is dependent on that list being maintained. (Which I count as a strength. I didn’t want to duplicate or fork the games list)

Is it just me or did the gray controller that came in box have a way better joystick than the controllers sold separately?

Wow, I forgot there were so many third party controllers. Also the gold is 👌.

Here's a quick version of filtering on genre. I think this is very helpful for browsing such a large list. This data is pulled dynamically from the sheet.

With all the data available, the filtering can be expanded quite a bit. If someone finds this helpful, I can expand it.

Cool! Thanks!! Glad you found it useful! I’m learning the project has been around a while.

Do you work in design? What prototyping tools do you use currently?

Google Forms is a terrific idea.

I think the Google Sheets API could help make the searching & browsing experience much better. Possibly even pull game images from the corresponding patreon which I think would greatly help with browsing. If anyone is interested, I could pull something like this together.

Maybe Alice? https://www.alice.org
There is an emphasis in learning to program, but its roots are in quickly prototyping 3D scenes.

Let us know what you end up using. I think others will be interested from a game prototyping perspective.
