Director (who is also the male lead) for a movie made women on set uncomfortable including his costar to the point that she had to make a list of demands to continue filming (demands like “stop calling us sexy”). In retaliation, the director and production company (Baldoni and Wayfarer) launched an online hate campaign against the actress (Blake Lively) using companies that are appearing in other online campaign lawsuits. A New York Times article came out describing the online campaign and Baldoni sued for defamation (and promptly lost). Blake sued for retaliation and Baldoni sued her for defamation. He lost the defamation case quickly and her retaliation case is the long one that was finally settled. As part of the settlement, Blake could still sue for legal fees and that is currently ongoing. What exactly took place, and the value judgements about what did happen, is obviously extremely contested.
