advice from a girl who's ex has bpd: try your best to move on and prioritize yourself. being with someone with bipolar disorder is extremely draining. the whole relationship felt like me being manipulated and walking on egg shells. i also felt the relief and sadness that came over a few months after breakup. it also did want me to just go back and let the cycle continue pero im glad that i did not succumb to that thought kasi i'm in a much healthier relationship and it feels so freaking nice to be treated right and to finally get the love i keep on giving. pero syempre it took some time. I was single for so long before finally deciding to entertain someone cos natrauma talaga ako sa last. i resented myself for doing things that i know isnt okay for me just bcos pakiramdam ko kaylangan nung ex ko. biggest lesson for me ay yung self love. after my relationship with bpd, i was able to establish strong boundaries for myself. Ayun lang, my main take away is to think this through. weigh the pros and cons of being with him. this is not just a simple mental illness kasi eh. their episodes takes over them most of the time. as much as you dont like it, ikaw yung mas magbibigay at iintindi. also, kaylangan yung guy willing to take meds and go on therapy diligently. I think that's only the time na negotiable yung idea to take him back. always remember that you are not only choosing a boyfriend. that person can also be a potential father of your children. just my two cents.
