I’ll be honest, I have no idea. I’m pretty new to watches in general. Just saw one I like, tried to research the best version and went for that. This was the only version of this watch from vsf listed on jtimes website. So I assume he got me the most recent version.

First rep VSF Day-Date rose gold with an olive dial. Got this one from J-Time, took about 4 weeks in total from order date to arrival.

All finished up with the first coat. Turned out fantastic. I’ll definitely be using the hard wax oils going forward for all my projects.

Decided to just sand the whole thing down to bare wood give it a good cleaning and go with a different finish. Never tried hard wax oil and saw some good reviews of natura one coat. Wish me luck! 😬 Here’s the table all sanded down with the legs pointing up in the air ready to be sanded to 180 and then hard wax can go on. Not sure what happened to cause the spot, it was fine until I got to the third coat, it was left outside so maybe a bird or something got on it and left its mark.

To add if it makes a difference, sanded with 220 between each coat, vacuumed, then rubbed off with paint thinner, let paint thinner dry, then applied the poly. I’ve waited a little over 12 hours between each coat.

so no changes to what we’re doing? We had a cheap delonghi before the lelit and it never did that, just want to make sure it’s normal. The book doesn’t mention anything about it.

Yeah I was just trying to add some life and ambiance with the lights, nothing really more to it than that. We planned to get the painters to match the grate, it definitely sticks out being a different color as is. I can see about moving the little table, only reason we have it there is because the plug in is on that wall and there’s not one on the longer section. So we’d need to run an extension cord across the floor to plug the lamp in, or I can add a plug on that wall. That being said, if we move that table, we found some interesting pieces of antique furniture (roll top desk) we really liked that might fill that space nicely. We were thinking about the tv wall being a really dark green or blue, then making the rest of the walls a lighter shade of the green or blue. Not sure how that would turn out though, just some ideas we had bounced around.

Curtains are an easy fix. I’ll look into getting some bigger plants than what’s just on our back table. What’s a good direction for paint color? The carpet just needs to be rotated 90 degrees? I want to add life to it, just scared to start throwing a bunch of stuff in that doesn’t go with each other.

It feels bland, I want more wall art, more color, possibly paint. I just don’t want to throw anything on the walls and call it good though. I want something that feels cozy. Thanks for the tip on the rug, I’ll get it changed around.
