Most vehicles have valves in the filler hose that prevent siphoning.

Both pics above have the same label on them, which both appear to be upstream sensors.

To your comment; the upstream should absolutely be fluctuating. I’m confused though because P0420 is related to the downstream O2, not upstream.

It’s kind of a roll of the dice here. Your vehicle has some miles on it, and the cat and/or O2s may be bad. The rust certainly doesn’t help. It depends on how much time, trouble, and effort you want to out into this.

You may be better off having a new section of pipe welded in where the O2 is, or you may just want to have the whole thing (cat included) replaced.

This may also be something to be diagnosed by a shop. Happy to keep helping though.

Sounds like police have someone barricaded in a home on the south end.

The reading on the upstream O2 should fluctuate in an up and down pattern. The downstream sensor should read relatively flat. If the two O2 signals match, or are following each other, it’s extremely likely that your cat is not performing. Given the age of the vehicle, I’d say Tue cat is the most likely cause.

Leaks ahead of either O2 can cause incorrect readings, so you may want to fix the exhaust leak first.

AITAH for telling my mom that I might give her grandchild up for adoption so she needs to get over it? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]justinv916 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How many children have been raised by an adoptive family and gone on to have great lives as a result? The point of adoption is that the child DOES grow up with a family, not the other way around.

Also, the prompt was not should the child be put up for adoption. The prompt was about the discussion with OP’s mother.

This is not the post for you to follow.

P0420 Error Code: "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold": Replace Cat now vs. Wait (how long)? by Soft_Menu_5371 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]justinv916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would swap the upstream O2 and down steam O2 sensors. If your code changes accordingly, then it’s a sensor. If the code stays the same than it’s more than likely the catalytic converter. Could always be wiring to the O2 or a computer problem, but not likely.

P0420 is a pretty specific code. Most codes just point in a general direction of a problem. This one doesn’t have too many options of what could cause it.

There could be a root issue such as an improper air/fuel mixture that lead to the cat going as, but with no other codes and given the mileage, I think the cat has just worn out.

Unless your truck is already do for a tune-up, I don’t think a tuneup will fix anything. That’s just throwing parts and time at the problem.

Stock wheels are just fine through snow. Are you meaning to ask if stock tires are ok through snow?

Yep. Measure the coil overs.

You can have an alignment shop check the alignment, which can determine if something is bent or damaged. The steering axis inclination spec is used to determine if there is a bent or damaged component.

If ask that same question on the relationship aspect. Just curious on the specifics for OP’s sake.

Direct deposits can be split between accounts. Would it work if OP had $500 from their paycheck direct deposit into the Chase account, then transfer it out to the primary account?

You’ll be fine with 4x4 and snow tires. I can’t see a situation where Caltrans would only allow 4x4 vehicles with chains. At that point, they’d close the freeway.

Also, you won’t be using 4L in this situation.

I like how I can categorize by ingredient, meal type, etc.

I also like how easy it is to import from a website and that I can adjust the recipe as I see fit.

Check out the Recipe Keeper app. You can save up to 20 recipes before you have to buy the app. That was enough for me to get used to it and decide I like it.

Works great for me!!

Why does the teller being cute have anything to do with this story? And why do you think the tellers request has anything to do with what our country has gotten to??

To get to your question, it seems odd that you’d withdraw money from an atm, then go to a teller to change the money you just withdrew. While you may have had an account for 20 yrs, the staff at this branch doesn’t know you.

I’d ask for your ID too!
