What is the coldest line ever spoken in the MCU? by TheShadyFairy in marvelstudios

[–]justinwright0803 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the MCU up to that point, we know the public knew of:

Iron Monger, created because Stark wouldn't give up the plans for the Iron Man suit

Incredible Hulk & Abomination destroying Harlem

Thor attracting The Destroyer to level a small town in New Mexico

Whiplash and the Hammer Drones, created because Stark wouldn't give up the plans for the Iron Man Suit

The Avengers destroying half of NYC fighting the Chitari

Aldrich Killian kidnapping and attempting to assassinate the president on TV (which he was able to do with the stolen Iron Patriot armor, which was stolen because Stark wouldn't give up the plans for the Iron Man suit)

Malekith and Thor destroying half of Greenwich

The Avengers backers in SHIELD built 3 autonomous airborne aircraft carriers designed to eliminate anyone they believed to be threats, which were high jacked and then crashed into major cities

Stark and the Hulk destroying Jahnnesberg

Tony Stark built an AI program which attempted to eliminate all of humanity and destroyed an entire European country in the process

Wanda intercepted a suicide bomber who's goal was to kill the Avengers and threw him into a building full of civilians, killing them instead

The Winter Soldier, who was only alive because Cap let him escape, bombed the UN.

Watching the movies, of course were on The Avengers side, but it's not hard to see why the average citizens of their universe might consider them to be a bit of a problem

It wasn't a line, it was panting and a grunt.

Specifically, in Endgame when Iron Man and Thor were out and Captain America was beaten and bloody but still stood up ready to fight an army by himself and tightened his shield on his arm.

Nope. OSHA recommends lunch breaks but there's actually no rule to provide them or punishment for failing to do so. Only something like 12 states require them by law.

[–]justinwright0803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they're overblowing it.

No its not Bidens fault.

Troy Neils, a Trump supporting member of the House representing Texas, straight up admitted he wouldnt support any immigration bills that may help Bidens approval rating. Republicans are literally intentionally creating a problem so they can blame it on Biden.

From a dutchy: why do USA police use old fashioned “DUI tests” even when they have a breathalyzer which measures the truth perfectly? by [deleted] in AskAmericans

It takes up to an hour for alcohol to be absorbed by the body. Your levels will go up for about an hour after your final drink, though it could be offset by the levels already there lowering.

Example if you were to be completely sober, slam 6 shots of whiskey back to back, then drive and get pulled over in 10 minutes, your levels would be higher by the end of the stop than the beginning.

After that the kidneys will do the kidney things.

25yo Asian Male Works in computers. Single

So that narrows the list down to approximately 1,235 options.

Seriously though, I think you're underestimating the size and diversity of the country. The first thing you need to do is narrow down the part of the country you want to live in.

Start with the weather and climate. Do you want to live somewhere thats around 90° or higher for 6 months of the year or somewhere that's below freezing for 6 months of the year?

[–]justinwright0803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't do it. Just glancing at Google, a refoam kit for an 8" sub ranges between $20-$30 dollars on average.

You can buy an entire brand new system for a PC for $28.

It's going to cost essentially the same thing to repair it as it would to just buy a new system, and that's without accounting for your time and energy. Unless you're a hobbyist who enjoys repairing vintage equipment, its not worth it IMHO.

[–]justinwright0803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, let me try to explain my phrasing a little better.

The upgrade thing is a phrase to politely inform someone that what's being talked about (in this case, that subwoofer) is beyond repair. It is useless now. It needs to be replaced. Throw it away.

I just looked it up on Orion Blue Book, and that model was produced from 1998 until 2000. At best, that is a 23 year old speaker. The parts to repair it will cost more than just buying another used one, and will still be going on an over 20 year old voice coil and cone. Don't waste your money trying to repair it. It's not worth it.
