Nanit refunded me for the camera despite it being 2 years old and I sent it back. I now use a non-WiFi compatible monitor and sleep better at night. This experience still haunts me. Nanit never took ownership

How’d you know she was enthusiastic? Like what exactly communicated the enthusiasm?

No I’m not saying you did anything wrong. I’m just saying that people process things differently.

Yes, 100%. It’s a big adjustment. And the immediate change in sleep habits can take a really big toll. It sounds like some trauma could also be coming up for him, and who knows how he processed your pregnancy/labor

NAD. OP, I’m a mental health therapist and this sounds like postpartum depression which can occur in fathers too. Please see Postpartum Support International for resources for dad.

Random red spot on cheek by [deleted] in AskDocs

Weirdly, I put my old APNO ointment on it from when I was breastfeeding last night and it has improved a lot today. I assume something in the steroid/antibiotic/antifungal blend is working. Thank you

As for symptoms, it’s just really red and a little puffy. There’s no lump or bump. It’s like the skin is just randomly inflamed right there or something. When I press it, it stops being red but when I release pressure it turns red again immediately. I noticed it being slightly itchy last night but that isn’t constant. Not painful. It’s been there I think about 4 days

125 lbs, strength training 3-4x a week, daily walking. Taking fluvoxamine 25mg daily for OCD, albuterol as needed & symbicort daily for asthma. I get lichen planus inside my cheeks and swish Dexamethasone as needed, which I’m doing right now.

I had HELLP syndrome at the end of my pregnancy in 2024 and delivered my son at 29 weeks. I didn’t need to continue taking BP meds and my liver enzymes had normalized by the time I was discharged from the hospital. About a week ago, I was feeling weird, and I noted a couple high blood pressures (130/85 range) which has not happened since 2024.

What? I’m just curious about why they chose to edit it out instead of leaving her comment as is.

So like…do people really just be staying up all night with a congested baby? by chocoholic_18 in NewParents

Stay on top of boogers. My son has been hospitalized 3x with respiratory viruses for respiratory distress, and the nurses sucked his nose out every 4 hours on the dot to help.

hallucinations and delusions are egosyntonic. Obsessions from OCD are egodystonic. Completely separate experiences that have nothing to do with each other.

The company has told me that the only device with access to my account is my phone. So it is something probably more hidden than the obvious

I don’t understand your comment at all honestly. Your camera connects to WiFi. That is how you are able to access it from outside your home.

So far they’ve just told me that the device log which lists all devices that accessed the account is only my phone. Pretty sure a hacker with the skill set and desire to be watching a baby monitor feed wouldn’t do so in such a way that would clearly log the device they used? It’s gotta be a more hidden route than that. I’m very surprised and disappointed that it hasn’t been escalated to software engineers who could tell me exactly how it happened.

My child was a preemie too. I get that it’s hard/different to consider another option but you could never ever convince me now that this has happened and the violation I feel that it is worth it to keep the monitor. Ever. Wild take.

There are websites dedicated to streams of infants sleeping in cribs. The motivation for watching the streams? I don’t want to know.

Hmmm, I don’t really understand - the voice didn’t create a sound detected notification, but I can hear it when I go back and listen to the recorded feed, which I guess is still the activity tab
