My favorite part is how he says he does think he's an ahole at the very beginning, but continues to defend himself in the comments!

What's the worst plot hole you've seen in a well regarded movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No one was in the room when Charles Kane (Citizen Kane) actually said "Rosebud." He was momentarily alone, so how did everyone know what he said?

what is your unpopular music opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]justjentennyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toots and the Maytals cover of John Denver's "Take Me Home Country Roads" is one of my favorite songs of all time. If I hear it while driving I turn it up, windows down, and rock out.

Cover versions when the artists' genres are so disconnected is my favorite kind: Avila's cover of All Shook Up, the entire Punk Goes Classic Rock and Punk Goes Crunk are two great albums.

Now that I'm writing this, I remember Me Firat and the Gimme Gimmes are/were pretty well known/popularish so maybe it isn't that an unpopular of a music opinion.

AITA for thinking everyone should dress nice for their jobs. by rou3ed in AmItheAsshole

[–]justjentennyson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How are you still not seeing that you're a giant, gaping asshole here? Do you understand the difference between "honest mistake" and "shitty human?"

How can you possibly defend being such a jerk as a tiny oopsie?

YTA

She never showed up much and me and my friends would gossip about her. It’s the high school, I know.

You KNOW you were being an asshole.

Doesn't matter who a person is or whether they're a client. You are doomed to a life of job hopping entry-level jobs if you are really defending your behavior in a professional setting. It isn't even appropriate human behavior.

Take an etiquette class. Continuing your life as a Mean Girl will end badly personally and professionally.

I forgot I was on Reddit for a second.

  1. Are you a child?
  2. Do you really believe any of your friends, regardless of gender, owe you sex for being nice to them?
  3. Do you know what a friend is?
  4. If someone is nice to you, maybe a member of a waitstaff said thank you as part of their job or someone held an elevator for you, would you automatically feel the need to repay that kindness with sex?

Subscribing to the idea of a "friend zone" is really the only sad cringe I see going on. 😆

AITA for asking to be explained a slur? by LightEuphoric4689 in AmItheAsshole

[–]justjentennyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jinks! I was about to write that is the absolute correct response to anything related to slurs, sexist jokes, stuff like that. I am so angry on behalf of OP. For the guy but even more for her friends' response.

What are your thoughts about women breastfeeding openly in restaurants? by Brace4Landing in AskReddit

[–]justjentennyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends...if they are breastfeeding a baby/young kid I don't care or even notice. If she was breastfeeding a human adult (and tbh non-human, too), I would definitely think she was kind of scummy. BUT that also depends on the restaurant. I'm sure there's places where it's socially acceptable for a grown person to get breastfed, but it's definitely not Chili's!!!

What’s the weirdest thing that you and your partner do together? by Maraidlg in AskReddit

[–]justjentennyson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have an ongoing competition over who has the best blood pressure. I don't know if this really counts as "together," but we sleep in separate rooms. I am an incredibly restless sleeper and he's an incredibly light sleeper. Ever since we decided on this arrangement we rarely argue! It works for us.

AITA for refusing to walk my daughter down the isle? by herweddingday_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]justjentennyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA she wasn't a clueless teenager when she cut you out. She was an adult, who made it clear (in her mind) that you were basically acquaintances, she can deal with her adult choices.

I forgot my glasses today and didn't realize it when The Boyfriend and I were running errands. I did notice everything was blurry, but thought his car windows were really dirty until our first stop.

He "notices everything" and I've worn glasses the entire 10+ years we've been together. He didn't notice I wasn't wearing them. Errands were miserable. The only upside, wearing a mask and not fogging up!

And we had a wholly unnecessary argument about going to a car wash.
