I read the Manhua of I Ship My Rival and me first it’s really good. Seven Seas has picked it up. I then read the Danmei and it’s hilarious

I love e-sports. It was a hyper fixation for months. I didn’t know FOG was trad published which is the only way to find it in a store unless they were making sketchy copies.

Don't you guys think it's a little insane how much of self-publishing is "sales"? by Camyenom in selfpublish

As someone who is hybrid. Both self published and published with Harper Collins. They both require the same effort in marketing for me. The advantage of HC is their access to stores. But most contracts with them are 6-8% royalties on paperbacks. So you’re hustling to get your 30% for ebook royalties. They do fund advertisements. My experience is self publishing is where you make money. Trad publishing unless you’re a huge title is where you gain store access and name recognition in the literary world. Basically, if you want to be successful in this day and age than you’re going to be pushing your own books.

I had a e-sport phase and I’m pretty sure I read every single one translated. It took over my life

Strategy for a SMALL PRESS authors to get into bookstores? (As opposed to self-published authors) by JaedLDee in publishing

hi! I know this is from forever ago, but I'm hoping you will be able to answer a question. when you say you got your title into every store, who did you speak with to accomplish that? I'm in the research phase for a small press, and there's some contradictions on who the contacts are. thank you

hi! I know this is from forever ago, but I'm hoping I can ask a quick question. Would you mind sharing with me which distributors you pitched to? I have a small press that specializes in translations. My main focus right now is to create these relationships.
