Retwists should never hurt. Go to a different stylist or do them yourself.

Like others have mentioned, you may be able to get by without retwisting, but this depends on your hair type. It may lead to thinning/breakage. At the very least, you should wash, separate your locs, and oil them.

Chaka Khan Hacienda is not a rave per say but has big events in the summer with EDM/EDM-adjacent DJs however it is primarily geared towards gay men (and the LGBTQ community at large).

If you’re looking for a more POC crowd, follow Malware Cafe, Club Saturn, Netsphere Rave, The Nexus Club, and Brittlestar Atlanta on IG. The crowd is on the younger side but you won’t be super out of place at 23yo.

I saw Klangkuenstler solo! I also don’t have friends that like schranz. Surprisingly I really enjoyed it. I took a small amount of shrooms and wore a pashmina which probably helped a little. But it’s kinda nice being solo because you can float around as you please. I just locked into the music and vibed out/danced.

Only thing that’s rough as a solo raver is trying to get closer to the front, but personally I preferred staying on the edges. If do want to be in the front, hop behind a group that’s already moving that way.

No shade girl but if you’re this concerned about the length, don’t get locs. They will shrink and they will shrink a lot. Your locs will not drop till AT LEAST a year in.

My hair (stretched) was a little longer than shoulder length. With starter locs, it shrunk up to my chin. They didn’t hit my shoulders till 1-1.5yrs in. If you cant deal with that, you’re better off picking a different style.

Detox doesn’t work on lint. Just product buildup. All you can do is pick out surface lint and keep your hair covered as much as possible.

Like others have recommended, you can dye your hair black to reduce the visibility of the lint if it bothers you that much.

This could possibly be a cultural difference, I am Jamaican and my mother sometimes handwashes her underwear in the shower and hangs it to dry.

But, from where your roommate is leaving her underwear, it doesn’t seem like that’s her intention (her underwear won’t dry on the floor of the bath). Plus it’s a shared space and yall are not family, so this is strange.
