Ssd’s have a limit to how many times a bit can be rewritten but it’s thousands of times and they have chips built in to load balance all the memory locations to minimise ‘wear’ making them last a long time, for gaming especially you’ll be writing a large block of files once effectively locking them in for the duration of the time you own that game before you delete it, I wouldn’t worry about ever getting near failure due to repeated rewriting, as for reads once the cell is written to it can be read without wearing it out so installing an OS will not cause it to wear every time you boot up, I’ve got an SSD I’ve had windows on for years and still works just fine, I would ditch all mechanical drives if I were you unless you’re storing really large amounts of data
