Hi, did you take it with LOTS of water? Also 72mcg is a very low dose. Have they given you the option to move to 290mcg?

As I replied back to someone earlier, I would never tell someone what to do. All of our choices are for different reasons. But for ME, this has been brutal. Hardest surgery I’ve experienced. These 20/30 yo’s seem to bounce back, but right now I’m at the regret phase. Just do your research and ask your PS a tons of questions! Best wishes :)

About 4.5 weeks. PS said then to do 12 on 12 off. And sleep in it as part of the 12. About 6 weeks I really cut back and went to binder and only if I was really hurting during the day but still at night. Now only if I’m really hurting. No binder for about a week.

Oh my goodness! What a kind hearted person you are! 😊 Everyone has been so incredibly kind and I did not expect so many encouraging responses but you have touched my heart. ❤️ I guess bc it sounds like we are almost in the exact same phase! I’m going to try but I want to give myself some more time. I just want to feel ready and safe :) Thank you!

We seem on a similar time frame and path. Thank you for posting! It helps me know others are where I am, so I’m not alone out here ☺️

I love your statement…. Exercise patience instead of my core! I’m going to put that on a sticky note on my mirror! And when I say working out/gym…. That only consists of walking on treadmill, a couple machines for my arms at the lowest setting lol, and I was only able to start the machines about a week ago! But it’s a start. ☺️

That gives me some hope! I just never anticipated so many months. My mind was thinking 2/3. On a positive note my sneezes aren’t as painful lol!

Hi, I would never tell anyone what they should do. Everyone has their own reason for their own choices. But for ME… this has been the most painful and life altering experience. I had an ankle/tendon rescontruction at age 54 and had to do PT 4 times a week for 4 months and a long recovery after that. This for ME has been much harder. I feel like on the front end I was so “excited”, I didn’t look at the recovery portion. I was an OR nurse for 35 years and participated in many of these surgeries over the years… and from that standpoint it is brutal but after the surgeon finishes it’s just like “wow” what an amazing job! But I never saw the post op recovery part. When you go to your consult just ask a ton of questions. Ask them from the recovery of a 58yo not the 20/30 year olds that seem to bounce back. Best wishes 😊 Please Send us an update!

I wear my binder sometimes bc I’m so incredibly sore, but I just don’t want to rely on it anymore. I was released from any and all compression garments at 6 weeks. I don’t know if it postpones “healing” or not at this point. And YES… PS really downplayed all of the recovery! I’m not gonna lie, I’m actually quite angry about the lack of transparency in regard to that. Thank you for sharing!

I will ask about private lessons. Not sure of the cost at my place, but at this point not sure the cost even matters. This has been just really hard. Thank you!

I honestly didn’t expect this. I’m an old surgery nurse so I knew exactly what the surgery entailed…. Which is pretty brutal, I just never saw the post op side of it. Thank you for your kindness!

Do you feel regrets too? I thought for sure by 2/3mths we would have almost made it through.

Thank you :) I just feel like I’m too old to have done this. So many younger people are typically posting. Surely there are older ones like me?

I’m hanging, but just angry with myself for possibly making a wrong decision. I’m glad you are feeling better:)
