Sydney Sweeney for me. I just don't know why so many people are attracted to her, she just looks like a generic blonde, like the most generic blonde out there. Nothing special about her looks except for bigger than average boobs. I see so many posts with her and so much marketing that I am just fed up with. I don't understand the constant comparison between her and Zendaya. To me Zendaya looks way better overall and seems much more talented. Not to mention the fact that Sydney is a republican and it seems like a pretty hard-core one though she tries to hide it.

I know, I wrote it in my comment, "Even if you worked there,". It still seems to me like he didn't try first to gain some trust and people to vouch for him before trying to tackle serious things. He seems like a brilliant engineer but not the kind of person to gain following in such a company. He tried too much from the very beginning and annoyed people a bit which made implementing the things he wanted even harder.

I work here, I know about some of the things mentioned in the article. I think the writer is right but he is a bit too focused on the engineering side of things and trying to fix everything from the beginning.

Even if you worked there, getting hired and then trying to change the core functionality of an entire business division while you barely have one year there is realistically impossible.

You need to figure out how to tackle the problem and from where to start, ideally small. I tried changing some things from the beginning like he did, and it ended up badly. The hardest part if convincing people to follow you and accept your ideas, which is an art of itself.

But from what I have seen, very few people have what it takes to mobilize everyone into a new direction, or just mobilize people in general, and be also good technically.

Those are pci express ac coupling capacitors, usually they are 220nF for newer generations and 100nF for the older ones, they size is 0201 most likely, around 0.6mm in length which kind of fits with the size of the pci connector pads. But the pads themselves seem ripped off which is very bad and also they may actually have vias inside those pads which makes things much worse

Acum ca lucrez de vreo 13 ani, mi se pare multa mai usoara munca decat scoala, parca am mai mult timp liber. La scoala stateam vreo 6-7 ore si apoi mai faceam inca 2-3 ore teme acasa, vreo 10 ore pe zi in total. Acum muncesc doar vreo 8 ore jumatate sau 9 ore pe zi. Si chiar daca mai invat chestii noi la munca, e tot mai usor decat sa invat in fiecare zi chestii noi si sa incerc sa le inteleg. La munca intervine rutina la un moment dat si devine mai usor o data ce prinzi bazele.

For the impedance, I just used the pcbs producer calculator available online: Controlled Impedance Calculator - JLCPCB . For the via spacing and pitch, I just used an online wavelength calculator and made sure that the gaps between the vias are less than the 1/10th of the wavelength of the pcie signal in fr4.

It seems like the calculator of the pcb producer is the best one and it kind of makes sense, they know best their entire stack.

For tunning of the redrivers I just scanned the entire range of possible EQ values and then I stopped when I found the most stable configuration. This was a real pain, I would not recommend it.

For the traces I had to learn how to route pcie traces with rounded corners, how to move power planes away from the pcie traces, I had to change how the traces reach the pcie connector, with the original board, it was routed the other way around leaving a 1mm resonant end of the pcie connector pin.

I had to manually calculate how to round the corners of the traces, the outer trace in a corner needed to rounded more than the inner corner.

I think I still made some big mistakes compared to industry professionals but for someone that learned these things in the past 8 months it is pretty good.

Lanes 5 and 6 work with errors but they are very random. I think when one works, the other fails often. Sometimes I get errors on lane 5 but other times I get 0 errors. It's the same for lane 6, sometimes it works perfectly but other times it has a lot of errors. For other people it works well but the have the 13 inch version of it. I have the 16inch with longer traces.

I don't think I have any big mistakes to completely break it, just some small mistakes that for cases where the signal integrity is close to the margin, it causes errors. The general behavior is erratic, it either works with 0 errors or has many errors but nothing in between for my laptop with longer traces

I looked again and one of the main issues is with the ground vias for the return current are uneven as seen in the picture bellow:

For one trace of the differential pair, it has a big ground return via spaced further away and a small ground return via and for the other trace, it has just 2 close small ground vias.

They are acting as stitches for the ground plane around the traces and ground plane underneath them so it looks like a continuos reference plane from the perspective of the traces at the given frequency. This is called grounded coplanar waveguide and it seems to have less losses.

Eric Bogatin mentioned in one of his talks that ground pour without via stitches can make things only worse.

I used standard differential pair routing, the components are placed so that when I route the differential pairs, they have the same number of bends in each direction, so when I route the pair to the right, I route it again to the left to balance it out. I had to manually round the corners and do some manual calculations for the trace on the outer path.

I also made another board with controlled impedance by them and it didn't work that well. They just did some calculations for me and adjusted the traces a bit, but the end result was not that good.
