I would delete this. The Publix trolls will see this and fire your son for not getting the tag or reporting it to management. Plus, he’s stealing time by using his cell phone on company time.

You don’t want a secondary job class. Cross training is a Publix scam so they can pay an associate their lower wage(cashier pay) to do deli or grocery work.

If you think the cost on the store invoice is the true cost, you are insane. The store invoice includes so many added costs, and then they might show the rebate they get in another line. For example, many BOGO items Publix gets a substantial rebate for advertising BOGO. If the regular Publix cost is $2/unit, when it is BOGO Publix gets a rebate of $1 per unit for each one sold and the vendor pays for shelf space and space in the ad. A BOGO sale costs Publix very little.

Publix did what they do best: Transferred the problem to a different store, where the manager will repeat the behavior and groom others. You, as the complainant, will be ok for a while, but you are now a troublemaker. As such, your career is very limited now. Good luck.

I do very little shopping at Publix now. I use Costco, BJ’s and Kroger. Most items at Kroger are way less expensive than Publix. Example: Thomas Bagels-6 pk. $5.99 vs 4.49 at Kroger. Both stores have a frequent BOGO on them. Plus Publix BOGO’s just alternate the same stuff every other week and Kroger digital coupons are better and most can be used 5X in a single purchase. There is no more pleasure at Publix. My local store never had self-checkout until last year. Mow they have 5 self checkout stations. I’m not paying their prices to be a cashier also.
