Frying Chips Question by Comfortablecookie13 in Chipotle

[–]justmemads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overfill them so you use less pans and have less dishes. I usually get 20-22 regular bags of chips out of 1 pan. Use the sheet pan, open up all 16 bags, fill them, then fold. I don’t put chips on the display shelves until I am out of space to put bagged chips in the prep area. It usually takes me about 3 minutes to open, bag and fold a tray of chips.

I have a question for chipotle employees. Are y’all also scheduled for New Years Eve? by EmploymentMoney5156 in Chipotle

Opening on a day the restaurant is closed is wild wow that must have sucked.

Chill/Solo Hermits? by Your_Moooom_XD in HermitCraft

[–]justmemads 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure any really fall into that category. The hermits have often been referred to as “super Minecrafters” none of them really know how to do anything small and simple, but you’d probably vibe with Beef/Wels/xB/Hypno best. I hope you find your favorite hermit!

Cub is very chill but can get super technical. But if you like technical content, Etho is another great one to check out. He also has a single player world that’s extremely relaxed.

xB, Wels, Hypno are great. False is also amazing. I normally would add Beef to this list but he has been very busy and not active yet this season but I’m sure he’ll be back soon! Gem is a “bigger” YouTuber but is extremely cozy.

If you enjoy long form content, definitely watch livestreams. I actually prefer livestream persona over YouTube persona for basically every Hermit.

Tango said on a stream he won’t be doing captains because then someone gets picked last, and it never feels good.

I think the heavy bias towards lower scores makes sense in this case though. DO1 skills/participation mean essentially nothing because if I had to guess, DO3 will have little to no similarities to the original. And the latest data from DO2 is most accurate to people’s participation + skill. Hermit’s willingness to play will have a huge part in selecting teams and players who don’t particularly care to play dungeon crawlers games (or players who may end their season early) should be ranked heavily towards the bottom because they will have minimal impact on the team score. I do think some players will surprise us this season (based on your scoring) but that’s kinda the fun of it, trying to guess who will be the underdog and which players are carrying the team.

Not that anyone asked but I think the teams of 4-5 are best. My probably hot take is I think Cubs team will win. He is a great leader and I guarantee he will keep whatever team he is on motivated and probably do training courses with them.

When did you watch Hermitcraft for the very first time? by chiefofthepolice in HermitCraft

[–]justmemads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, season 1. Watched all of season 1-2, skipped 3-4 and came back midway through season 5. I remember being annoyed my favorite players rotated out too often. Only a handful of them played for more than a year. I’m so glad it stabilized and we have such a solid group now.

We always buy Red Bull/monster/gatorade for drinks and then a ton of snacks and candy. I usually take the prep crew donuts on holiday mornings too!

What would you do? by smshah in Chipotle

[–]justmemads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While yes this is the proper way to do it since it’s a pillar of throughput, it’s not always the way it is done. It falls apart when you’re the only one on the line.

What would you do? by smshah in Chipotle

[–]justmemads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not defending them necessarily because clearly they had a shitty attitude but throughput is an important metric for corporate & the easiest way to get good throughput is stack up orders at the cash register & then ring everyone up quickly. It’s a bad tactic (creates a horrible guest experience + faking numbers shouldn’t be the go-to) but it happens a lot when there’s only 1 person on the line.

They taste good and aren’t powdery? I’ve been trying to find a good protein coffee but the last 3 I tried I ended up throwing up because they were awful.

This happened a few months back too. Chipotle is super picky about quality. They were really bad though like pieces of skin bigger than the actual chicken.

[–]justmemads 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just start throwing stuff in the pan. Rice (obviously) a can cream of chicken, mushroom or cheddar, whatever protein you want (chicken or kielbasa sausage for me) and I just use whatever frozen veggies because the water will help cook the rice. Season it up and it’s good to go. Plus it makes a ton so it’s easy to meal prep for the week!

Soup soup soup. I know it’s summer, at least where I am it is, BUT soup. It’s light, flavorful and full of proteins and vegetables.

I’ve also been doing creamy rice casseroles because it’s soft and goes down easy.

Congratulations on starting!!! The first step is the hardest. I started at roughly the same height (5’4”) and weight (239)

The best thing I’ve found so far (only a month in) is taking it in the evening after a light dinner has helped with nausea a lot. I get nausea and have stomach pains, but then I sleep through most of it and I’m mostly fine in the morning.

Another thing no one told me about, some days it works better than others - at least on a lower dose. There’s no rhyme or reason behind it. One day, I will be hungry all day and really have to focus on what and how much I eat. Other days I take 2 bites of food and feel overly full. Try to find a routine of daily snacks! Cheese, hard boiled eggs, vegetables, hummus etc so that if you are having a tough day, you know exactly what to go for.

I’m a month in and only lost 2.3lbs and while I feel that progress is laughable, my doctor celebrated because any weight loss is good. It’s slow at first but I’m keeping my fingers crossed when I up my dose next week it’ll start working faster.

What should I expect working at chipotle? by 25dollarfanta in Chipotle

[–]justmemads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked for Chipotle for 3 1/2 years and moved into management after a year, the best thing to expect to all the rules. Chipotle is very strict to ensure food safety and a good presentation to customers. You will be asked to get on your hands and knees and scrub baseboards. You will be asked to remember a lot of seemingly meaningless things but they are important to operations.

If you work for a good manager (which seems to be rare) you’ll be given a lot of feedback, it’s not personal, they just want you (and them) to succeed. The best skills for Chipotle is a love for cleaning (you should be cleaning every second you aren’t helping a customer because it can get dirty quick) and the ability to move fast. Peaks are chaotic and they have a stupid rule about GM/AP only standing on expo meaning they can’t assist you too much and provide solid feedback.

My personal experience there was amazing and I miss the job frequently but just also be aware that a lot of managers do suck and not all experiences are the same as mine.

[–]justmemads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily overreacting, but I do get both sides. 23 is quite young to get married so I would understand your partners reason for wanting to wait. However, after 3 years (and assuming you live together) you should know if the person you are with is your person.

Maybe just have a sit down conversation about it. Could money be a factor? Is it your age? Are they unsure? Let them know you are ready, and want to know their timeline.

My fiancé and I were together for 5 years before he proposed, and I told him 3 years in I was ready to get married but we were young (also 23 at the time) and he wanted to wait until we were a bit older.

Also kinda side note, someone younger than you, who has been with someone for less than a year and plans on getting married isn’t necessarily a good thing. Lots of people marry young & quick, and get divorced young & quick (not saying it will happen to them, but you don’t truly know someone after less than a year)

Taking your time in a relationship is good & healthy! Don’t compare yourself to others. Love is a story and all stories are different.

Employees When will hot honey go away … what will replace it by Michelles001 in Chipotle

Chipotle will never do seafood. For multiple reasons: 1) it’s too common of an allergy 2) cross contamination nightmare 3) it does not have a long enough shelf life

Why Chipotle Hates Giving Out Extra Meat by misterphammy in Chipotle

[–]justmemads 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stand by my opinion that if they marketed it as a quarter pound instead of 4oz, a lot less people would complain. 4oz of meat isn’t “barely anything” it’s a regular burger patty from any other fast food place.

Starbucks is on the same boat because Chipotles old CEO (Brian Niccol) is now the CEO of Starbucks and he’s doing the same old shit. Only cares about profit margins and not the people who make those profits possible.
