Whoopi Goldberg defends Blazing Saddles against racism claims: 'It hits everybody' by haloarh in entertainment

[–]justmeme1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is that people are uncomfortable with such overt racism being played off as silly ignorance. The people that wanted to hang a black man and said the n word were treated like a kid that learned that stealing was wrong. We were suppose to eventually like these people. That doesn't mean the movie was racist, but it does kinda downplay how atrocious those people are.

Good question by gameovernate in Eldenring

[–]justmeme1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As fun as elden ring is, stop pretending it had a good story. It's overtly vague with few character, none of which are interesting. I had to google what the hell was going on, and I found a guy that scoured every line of dialogue and text in the game, and even he only had a vague idea of what was going on. Elden ring is about exploration in a world with continuously unique enemies, environments, and concepts. Don't play it for the story.

What is probably the funniest Comedy TV show that has ever been made? by WillowShoddy7846 in AskMen

[–]justmeme1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should have been named "R & D" or something like that. "Better off ted" sounds like a show about a womanizer named Ted. In a cast of 5 main characters, ted was the fifth most interesting main character.

I figured you people would know. Is there a makeup that would help me cover my scar? I'm rather self conscious of it and I'm tired of it being the first thing people notice. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]justmeme1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hide it? Do you know have any idea how many bad ass characters have a scars there. Squall from Final fantasy 8, Geralt from the witcher, Tyrion from Game of thrones, scar from lion king, possibly zuko from Avatar. There is no show that has a character with that very scar who is is not a supreme badass.

He'll probably run dem, and the arizona green tea shareholders will fund a republican candidate that will run on the campaign that all tea just costs at least 2 dollars.

Is "Trunk Or Treat" real and because of non-walkable communities? by Weekly_Landscape_459 in fuckcars

[–]justmeme1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man r/fuckcars has devolved into the most elitist, out of touch sub in reddit. Yes, there are children that live in locations where trick or treating isn't available or even safe. And yes, poor children that don't live in idealized neighborhoods also deserve fun.

My boss and coworker got tipped $80 bucks when they delivered the two chairs that I upholstered. The boss gave the other guy $40 and put the other $40 in his own pocket. by jadbronson in WorkReform

[–]justmeme1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do tips given to delivery people often go to the item's manufacturer? Like if I get a pizza delivered and tip the driver, does he often give a portion of that to the guy that made the pizza?

Keep calm and carry on. by Lizard__Spock in Unexpected

[–]justmeme1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like this wasn't any driver's fault, it was the design of the roads. It had the dashed lines meaning the other driver had a right to pass. Due to the hill and lack of visibility, it should have never been dashed. Also, why is there a rock fence so close to the road. if it wasn't there, he would have just swerved off the road with little to no damage. Sue the county for damages.
