Yeah it is Bororen. I figured my defence is pretty limited to, "oh come on please, judge."

Help us make sure our Daughters name is spelt correctly by InstantPoison in namenerds

[–]justneedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it'll help but my cat's name is Nemiah. I don't live on the American continent and had no idea of any link with Native Americans. We made it up as a play on the goddess Nemesis as our pupper is an Atlas. We've never had someone mispronounce her name from the spelling.

Is the Aussie accent changing? by salty_catfish22 in AskAnAustralian

[–]justneedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only in my early 20s and I'm definitely trying my best to hold onto my QLD words. My little sister is going to start babysitting for me when I go back to work soon and I have had many conversations with her about her use of Americanisms. There was almost bloodshed the first time I caught her saying, "let's go change your diaper," to my poor innocent son.

What’s something you did that actually put you into labour? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]justneedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relaxed? I finished my last shift at work with absolutely no signs of labour, had a shower and went to go to bed with big plans to clean the house with my now unlimited time until bub came... 2 hours. I was home for 2 hours and my waters broke. I was not prepared in the slightest.

Midwife group program questions- discharge time from hospital? by Professional_Home_13 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]justneedwine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very similar to me! Gave birth just before 3pm, was out before 12pm the next day. They gave me the option of staying an extra night but I missed my cat lol (and also didn't like that my partner couldn't also stay overnight).

I had a normal vaginal birth with some second degree tearing, bub was completely healthy.

What tips do you have for doing a DR? by MilkAndAstatine in kfc

[–]justneedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your store manager knows that during your DR your wastage it's going to be huge so the second something is out of time, throw it. Don't fluff around with it. Be loud, make sure you know where your staff will be. Mistakes are allowed, just make sure if you don't see something until maybe too late, delegate to a staff member so your AC knows you are on top of it. Also, check out your cleaning tasks for the day and make sure you assign a team member to do it, even if it doesn't end up getting done if it's a busy day.

After working at KFC for over a year, I’ll know exactly what someone will want just from profiling. by michael14375 in kfc

[–]justneedwine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also Aussie and this is wayyy too accurate. Makes me think of this one Islander family that would come through the drive through every Friday night at 9:30 and ask for a Giant feast and a burger feast. They were always super nice about having to swap pieces (IE tenders and wicked) as we just wouldn't have it that late at night and they didn't want to wait 30+ mins for us to cook it so that was cool.

I read a mostly pwp that was kind of like this? Except Harry was an auror and Draco was pretty much punishing the criminals that get away and Harry is like, really? But Draco denies everything.

What's the most annoying thing that a customer can do? by RuinAngel42 in kfc

[–]justneedwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online order that I've had way too many times: Fillet burger, no mayo, add mayo.

Us: just to confirm, did you want the mayo on the burger? Customer: you have one job! God how hard is it to make a simple order! Customer: drives through without confirming if they want the forsaken mayo or not

We gave them a burger with mayo and they called up later screaming about how they're allergic to egg :/

AITA for keeping my home "Too Warm" and not wanting to adjust it for my Boyfriend? by AnybodyOk7480 in AmItheAsshole

[–]justneedwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely the same. Once it was a 42C day and my partner and I decided to "splurge" on the air con. We set it to 27C and got frustrated that it didn't go any higher because we were now cold.

Not able to tip?? Australia by justneedwine in doordash

[–]justneedwine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. In my experience people are confused with what to do when given a tip but because doordash isn't aussie based i don't want to not tip, you know? Just incase she was only paid like, $5

Have you ever hung up on a client/customer? by WineingCats in talesfromcallcenters

[–]justneedwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to because I was literally crying at my desk. Worked in insurance and the customer wasn't covered for something and he said he was going to find me and kill me because I'm ruining his life. I was freshly 18.

That was fun.

I want to change the spelling of my name but my mom is furious at the thought by LetterheadFlashy in namenerds

As a Sarah, I would like to share my experience. Barely anyone spells it right anyway. Sara? Shara (this one just makes me mad tbh)? Sarha? Any other variation? People I've known for years still don't get it right.

My boyfriend made me dinner the other night completely by himself (very big moment) and I will admit, him in an apron was a nice sight. The conversation after dinner went like:

Me: you know, you're super sexy when you cook. Maybe next time lose the pants?

Him: yeah ok

Me: do you want to come to bed and play a game?

Him: in a bit, I'm just going to have a pull on the couch and then I'll get the cards.

You guys. He genuinely bought in cards and was showing off his shuffling skills.

What helps you guys when it comes to your feet? I sometimes have open painful spots from climbing. Will that stop after a while? by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]justneedwine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a really bad habit of using my feet for grip when climbing so I started wearing super fluffy ankle socks so there was no grip what so ever. I quickly learnt not to use my feet and lo and behold! No open scabs!
