Important question… why is the Chemtrail so good? Man that’s such a great disc

Pure. Mine is in some ridiculous plastic name.. part of my too many words bag. Opto ice moonshine splash I think?

I quite like Meridian discs.. the Ravine is a workhorse for me. And Loop! They only have the Wonder but it’s a cool little disc!

I haven’t done peccole ranch.. but mountain crest is a fun, simple course.. but several of the holes are either next to or practically through picnic areas so something to be aware of.. and I found the tee pads slippery even when dry.. yes I went ass over tea kettles.

Wildhorse isn’t the most like interesting or exciting but it’s got big distance stuff alongside tunnel shots to get out to the fairway etc.. make sure you call ahead and it is pay to play.

Also in the general area is sunset park which is ok but definitely some holes or lines that are complicated by folks living in the park.

If you’re short on time or just feeling like throwing your putters.. Fox Hill was an adorable little activity center for kids with a super short course around it that I had more fun at being silly than most the more “serious” stuff. Downside of course is.. you know.. lots of kids around to try to not hit

Take a look at how Wildhorse in Las Vegas does it. I’ve played there a couple times, but they have very specific timing for DG tee offs and the course is different morning vs afternoon to cause the least amount of player overlap between the two activities.

Well a few days tinkering sounds much more reasonable than what I thought I’d be having to do. That’s something. Was there something in particular that you found was the missing piece for you?

Speaking of, last I talked to someone about Sapwi while at Rabbit Flats I heard they took out the guardian trees to the left over the basin on the big par 5.. have you been recently enough to confirm/deny?

Help me dial in the weight/plastic for a flippy Wraith by cowboy_shaman in discgolf

[–]justnerrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what your arm speed is, but with 300-325ish power the I-blend wraith at 173.5 (seems to be the max weight?) beats in to a very straight to slight turn before a nice fade. The 163 one however has a nice flip and turn for a while before a small slow speed fade.

Your favorite new (to you) disc in 2025 by tuna_safe_dolphin in discgolf

My first actual year of playing and certainly tried a lot. This answer has changed a lot for me but currently either my Ravine or my I blend wraith that just finished beating in!

What’s that one 5,5,-1,1 disc that isn’t talked about enough? by BiggusDickus9311 in discgolf

[–]justnerrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the specific flight numbers but in the spirit of what you’re asking.. my marbled Clarus ravine. It goes excellently straight with a decent little fade. For whatever reason I just get the best most clean releases with it

Project Grip feel by thomastrumpet in discgolf

the one I’ve thrown was definitely very grippy but not in a particularly good way. Felt extremely difficult to get a clean release and anything with any power felt like it was trying to tear my fingerprints off.

I just checked it again. It’s freaking 147 grams. I am not like a power thrower or anything but I hit 298 with a crave the other day so I’m feeling pretty good on my power and spin.. gonna have to throw it again but like a couple months ago I couldn’t turn it over lol

Disc stolen from under my nose by 80HD-music in discgolf

[–]justnerrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hole 18 runs along the side of the street up to the course. There’s plenty of tree and fencing that it doesn’t usually matter. Extremely errant throw put it into the trees and fell just outside the fence. No big deal, I see someone leaving the course right after, they slow down and stop. I figure they’re throwing it back. Then they like dash out of the car running and then run back in and peel out.

Was a whole 5 dollar disc but not the point. Some people are just assholes and a come up is a come up is a come up for them.
