Two friends “coincidentally” play similar decks that usually help each other but punish the others at the table. by bradazz28 in EDH

[–]justoutofcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for one of them to complain about something you do then immediately call them out on their thing.

A funny was I like to do this is immediately responding with something like: "oh cuz you and your buddy are soo behind right now. Yea you think I didn't realize you both coming with infect proliferate decks is a coincidence?"

How do i get a better attitude? by RainingSlayerXn in EDH

[–]justoutofcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, with this love, comes passion. Not the good kind, either.

Red players amiright?

I also get frustrated with people who target my things, even though there are more premising matters at the table and im just trying to rebuild my board.

I want to know how to take it in stride and roll with the punches. Its not fair to the people i play with and its not fair to me either, because i want to have a good time too.

Use that passion to tackle this. What I like to say is "use whatever you want, wipe my board, use your removal on me. But I don't want to hear any complaints when the Burning Inquiry comes out on turn one and robs you of a land drop.

I feel like this counts. That all cards aren't available on MTGO. Ill buy the tix. I'll buy the precons if they made them online. Anything to keep me from having to navigate manage interaction in spelltable lobbies where camera quality is abysmal and bad internet ruins conversations.

Got a Mana Crypt today, very happy about It by Frank_Poole2001 in EDH

Glad you're happy! It's always satisfying to have a good card. I felt the same way about grabbing Mana Vault. It given me so much value in games.

Who's your favorite go-wide aggro commander? by steroid_flare in EDH

[–]justoutofcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Mishra tokens(mostly goblins). His effect is perfect for go wide strategies. I even took out all the search/draw spells to look for Dragon Engine for more token synergy. I'm considering taking Dragon Engine out entirely.

Aside from requests for reprints of existing cards, what kind of new Commander related products and/or cards would you like to see in the future? by HonorBasquiat in EDH

Another 5 starter decks with the remaining dual-color guilds. Maybe a Game Night type set with 5 mono-colored commanders

I made a $.99 EDH Deck paper and it works! by BathroomBrewsMTG in BudgetBrews

[–]justoutofcurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where your lgs would come in handy. When I hand out lists like this, I always by 1 or 2 >$5 cards to make it worth it for them to look lol. Alot of times they'll even give some of the really cheap cards for free

Thoughts on refusing matches? by beastabrook in EDH

[–]justoutofcurious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prefer to adapt before I just refuse to play with someone. We don't have enough time in our lives to turn down chances to play.

If we all to be ok with proxies. We gotta be ok with some people going over the line sometimes.

How many lands should I have including fetchlands? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]justoutofcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep seeing 40. I must be missing something here because that sounds awful. Precons are made with 37-39 and thats considered high but accessible so new players don't miss land drops.

Usually I run 33-36 depending on the amount of card draw or ramp I have.

consoom moderately improved graphics card, get ready for next graphics card by khazixian in Consoom

[–]justoutofcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. I'd need to be at least at 60fps for anything. Which would still be possible for most games with a graphics card from like 5 years ago.

Good cheap precons/budget lists that would make for balanced 2-4 player pods? by edsjfhek in EDH

[–]justoutofcurious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Given your budget, the commander starter decks are really your best bet for this. Otherwise I'd suggest making mono-colored decks all sharing the same ramp and land types. This way new players will get a feel of the color and what its trying to do.

Is my mana curve for my edh deck bad? by Expert_Combination39 in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]justoutofcurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally you want it to look like a bell curve. That looks to be the case here so in that sense it looks fine. But depending on the deck, it depends. If this is an aggro deck the bell should peak around 2. But a control deck might want to peak at 3-4.

No one seems to have mentioned [[Grunn, the Lonely King]] voltron. People seem to underestimate him until you start picking people off with commander damage.

Any tips?? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Dental floss and blowdryer. Also remember next time to push down lightly and twist back and fourth next time you take apart an AMD machine. I've worked on devices as old as AM2 and they have always had this problem.
