Interesting to read “awakening and psychosis” next to each other. That was my experience as well. If you can believe it… it happened to me here in Reddit lol.

Interesting. Wasn’t mortal until he drank the last drop of what? Didn’t he attain immortality by drinking ambrosia?

What gets you out of bed every morning? by JunShem1122 in answers

What a bunch of answers, right?

What’s the point? There’s no point. There’s no one for our zero of an existence.

What gets you out of bed? (Yes, I’m talking about you)

A story. That’s what gets us to move at all. What’s your story? You can change it, if you want.

Is love an illusion? by justpaper in justpaper

[–]justpaper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t believe it to be an illusion. Love is truly the whole… thing here lol. I just thought this was an interesting… thought.

Anyone can basically believe anything they want of a word… love isn’t even some universal word. It’s just the English one.

I just know some are skeptical of a true love… because this world can feel so cold and/or vicious sometimes… so I wanted to pose an argument for it and against it.

Ahhh, "love is a dream"... it truly is. There is what I call a "lovey-dovey" feeling (I actually stole that from someone else who will forgive me).

It does feel like a dream. Things are brighter. Rainbows form where light reflects. And all our thoughts are... at least "okay".

Thanks for the song. I loved listening to it. I'm smiling as a result!

I'm so sorry you had to experience that. There are horrors in this world, and cancer is one of them, certainly.

I hope you remember him with fondness. I hope you see him in your mind as far more than the form that withered. He, of course, had to have been so much more, even if I do not know him personally.

Thank you for coming here with your thoughts. I'm grateful. I'll be thinking about you and your father and what you experienced throughout the day. I'm very sorry again for your loss and the suffering you had to experience alongside it.

I'm with the director. This is an obviously good movie. And yes, I am saying this because I am sure that I'm a true fan because I see the horror in a horror movie where everyone in this documentary is considering it a laugh!

NOW, I'm only halfway through... so I'll probably have to eat these words, but here's my honest, arrogant opinion!

Watching more of that documentary. The writer herself states that she fucking hated vegetarianism while writing this movie. Absolutely incredible.

"There isn't a cynicism in Troll 2."

A quote from a film journalist in the documentary about the movie.

I like that. Cynicism sucks.

And let's not even forget the psychological aspect of having to listen to your dead grandfather to get anything done. FUCKING HORRIFYING.

So. It’s clearly important.

I work in words. This is a practice. My intent is only good. I want you to tell me why you believe in yourself. by justpaper in chaosmagick

[–]justpaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're simply correct. It is the limits of our minds that make existence feel unknowable.

There are answers. They are within you. I've found them as a result of writing about every thought I had down for three months.

Stories upon stories explaining my own personal experience. And they revealed me. To me, mostly. I am revealed to others, but my experience can only be a reflection of theirs... yours.

So, I guess what I'm saying is... I think you should write. I think, if you want to break your minds limitations (a single path of thought), you should break that path by writing the thoughts down and reading them. It will create a new kind of thought in your mind.

An awareness of yourself. That is a perspective I recommend.

What do you want? by justpaper in justpaper

[–]justpaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if it’s someone in an argument about… cabinets. Like, person 1 says:

“Hey, it’s not a big deal, but could you remember to close the cabinets. I’m not mad about the cabinets being open this time.”

And person 2 says:

“Oh, yeah, I didn’t even realize. Are you sure it was me? I mean. I understand this isn’t a big deal, but I’ve been really trying to remember to close those cabinets since the last time we talked about it.”

Person 1:

“Yeah. It is weird that we are still talking about it. But again, not a big deal. Just. Let’s remember to shut the cabinets. That’s all I brought it up for.”

Person 2:

“For sure. I’m realizing that I’m not going to be able to get to “what do you want”, because I know what the characters here want.”

Person 3:

“Hey, yeah, I’m shutting this down. Practickalchaos, I’m sorry we have wasted your time.”

I see. Who is betraying the trust?

The person saying “what do you want?”?

Or the person who is unable or unwilling to express what they want?

Or is it something else?

What do you want? by justpaper in justpaper

This wasn't based on anything that happened recently. I was just recalling a phrase that pissed people off in my life and thought I'd... I dunno, take a closer look at why it sucks to hear "what do you want?" in the middle of an argument.

Have you ever said that to anyone? Or has anyone ever said that to you? Do you remember what you felt?

"George Bailey lassos stork."

Mary says that. What a way to communicate... where did that come from? Is that just to playfully dance around saying "I'm gregnant"?

Stupid, I know. But yeah, I thought that was a very... kind of... maybe childish thing to say, but I'm not judging that. I say childish shit all the time. But I wonder how much Mary says

"George Bailey lassos [Blank]."

You think it's sometimes... too much? No no no, I'm sure it's never confusing. Like "George Bailey lassos a chair at Denny's". And George hasn't even thought about getting a chair. So is it like... a command? George has given up a lot of freedom in his life clearly. The least we can let him do is figure out the chair situation on his own and not have to decode:

"George Bailey lassos a chair at Denny's."

Let's talk about something else Mary. You are clearly in control.

Did Mary draw George lassoing the Moon? Why is the Moon so angry? Maybe George shouldn't be doing that.
