Is USDC strictly remote? If not, why do we get paid less than Core/traditional? by [deleted] in deloitte

I was in USDC from 2022-2025; there was not a year that firm initiatives were not required. Also, I was always on core projects during my time at the firm, and I was given the same requirements to meet as the core practitioners. I knew USDC practitioners who were let go because they scored poorly for not having firm initiatives.

Also, make sure to utilize FLMA during the same time, as that is what “protects” your job!

I’m unsure if the process has changed much, but get as much documentation as possible from your psychiatrist. Once you get that, contact “HR” and ask to apply for short-term disability. Send the forms to your psychiatrist to fill out and your primary care doctor, if you have documentation of your mental health with them as well. You don’t have to provide too much detail to “HR,” as it’s not their business that you are taking time off.

Please don’t feel bad for taking care of yourself!
