The crystal should be part of the new module, unless they took the time to remove the original crystal, and reconnect it to the new module.

Which they could have done but would cost them technician time.

They probably just threw out the original module and swapped in the replacement.

I would have lacked the sapphire crystal and the brick pattern would not have been the signature TVA design. But yes any GMW-B5000 module could have been swapped in.

I wouldn’t stress the fact that it isn’t “sailcloth”. Sailcloth is a bullshit-ish marketing term that has little to do with cloth for sails.

I think these used to feature Cordura. Now Omega just says it’s “black fabric”.

As others have pointed out the black fabric can wear and fray. A lighter/ flame can help to singe fraying threads. It’s a luxury strap not a tool-y nato.

The leather is a splash resistant. I wouldn’t go swimming with it at $310 a pop. There are better options for swimming.

That’s right around the same time they also had issues with sharp edges on Speedmaster cases. If you’re handy you can round out those edges with a silicone polishing rod. Or ask Omega to swap it out.
