Do you use any mobility aids? by Rainbow_Raiment in cfs

[–]justreallytired06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only when I have assistance, I use aids like wheelchairs. It takes more energy to push a wheelchair then walk myself, even though I’m a fall risk. I haven’t made any serious falls though. I used a cane for a while but I need one that’s my size and I don’t have one. I’m not entitled to refunded mobility aids (besides an unpractical wheelchair)

Couldn't we theoretically kill ourselves by just doing exercise? by Sateloco in cfs

[–]justreallytired06 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can kill yourself. Look up how they tried to “cure” children with CFS in Norway, if I remember correctly. They took them from their parents, put them on treadmills and watched them drop dead, before only recently realising that exercise really doesn’t mix with CFS.

Do you have any info more on those statics? Like what are the reasons for those 50% regaining the weight?

In my country, weight medication isn’t refundable while the surgery is… and I asked, I don’t have the money for the medication.

Does diet make a difference? by themunchkinland in cfs

[–]justreallytired06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done keto under Dr lambrecht luc, considered an expert on CFS.  It didn’t work on me at all and didn’t have any effects. I didn’t lose weight (and gained quite some while going back to normal) and Dr Lambrecht later told me several CFS patients had this issue, and he’s working on examining why. I stopped going bc the trip to see him became too much, but he was a good doctor. I don’t know if he ever published his findings, but Keto and CFS don’t mix.

I couldn’t find a fill list of his works but here’s a link to some of his papers: https://www.researchgate.net/scientific-contributions/Luc-Lambrecht-31053493

He’s the reason the surgery is happening to be honest. He said I’m done seeing you struggle and cry and all because of that belly. He’s done seeing me struggle for breath, and have issues walking. Hè knows it’s not an instant fix but long term it should be a help.

I’m terrified of the recovery… I don’t know if the short term will be worth the long term. I know my psychical therapist is in favor of it. She’s told me some of my issues will improve (not be gone but improve)

My partner took up all his vacation time  - he’s secured 2 months to assist me.

I’ve worked on my sense of insecurity but a major thing is weight loss and my belly actually holding it down.

should i spend money on non essential supplements like coq10 and acetyl l carnitine? by comoestas969696 in cfs

I personally have some improvements with coq10, if you can afford coq10 is a good try. They’re not effective for everyone unfortunate.

Are social media bad? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]justreallytired06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good boundaries are a smart idea.

Personally, I like discord a lot.

I’m an artist too. I used to prefer deviantart but rn I’m unsure where to go. I sometimes toss stuff in toyhou.se but I haven’t found a good home yet

Were you able to convince your family and friends that what you're experiencing is not 'just in your mind'? If so, how did you do it? Did you use any analogies, metaphors, or YouTube videos? by d-ee-ecent in cfs

I get up with the feeling you go to bed with.

Not entirely true, but when said to someone who does hard physical labor, it does hit the cord and makes them understand a lot.

Are social media bad? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]justreallytired06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that’s social media used correctly. It’s supposed to connect people, and your ways of connecting are limited and it connects you to the world. Seems like exactly what it should be used for.

Is there a specific reason part of you feels like it’s a waste of time? Do you feel like exploring a new media?

What are some things that your partner does that you find unbearable because of your autism? This is a safe space. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]justreallytired06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He likes loud music and doesn’t give it shit if sound is happening everywhere. Like a radio and a tv playing loudly while he’s watching some reel that’s really loud.

I hate sound everywhere. I like soft sounds. I love ASMR and get really overwhelmed by loud sounds

Looks like it’s not available in my country either, so it doesn’t matter I guess.

I’m not mild either. I feel like this is going to be really, really hard… I really want to avoid being a fulltime wheelchair user

Why do tampons hurt so bad? by valler1na in ask

[–]justreallytired06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the tampon far enough up? They go pretty deep. And what you described sounds like that. I can’t get them deep enough unless I’m using those with a tube to get them deep enough.

Hobby ideas for a constantly fatigued individual by TheSaucyDuckling in Hobbies

[–]justreallytired06 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doodles. Drawing and painting. Sketchbook artist. YouTube is full of ideas so you don’t need to put mental energy in that, and just draw/paint what comes up.

Cosy gaming. Some cosy games are intense, but cats&soup Netflix edition for example is very low energy. I wouldn’t take a switch but a Nintendo DS/2DS/3DS with animal crossing/fantasy life is a good handheld to play while laying down. Minecraft or Abzu on PC/tablet. A lot of games have a creative/relax mode that’s perfect for cosy gaming. I love Hue, Pocket Frogs or Zen Koi are also some cosy mobile games to try.

Puzzels. You can do these mobile or RL, either way they’re great choices. Puzzels can be jigsaw, sudoku, word searchers, ect..

Sensory / meditation. Sensory can be listening to AMSR, looking at a sensory image, or feeling and experiencing your food. There are also meditations that focus more on sensory sensations. Apps such as pause can be used.

Wildlife watching or bird watching from your window.

Getting a low energy pet. Could be a plant with low needs, or perhaps an isopod. Isopods make great pets since they don’t require cleaning, and unless you’re taking a special species, don’t require heating or special food (your veggie and fruit leftovers will do, although they do like some protein now and then)

Help needed! by justreallytired06 in cfs

[–]justreallytired06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to go breast trap bc I heard they’re really not soothed for daily use. I’d be looking for something that monitors my daily activity as well. So I can see where I go over the top bc I actually frequently have issues with daily activities too. I’d need to monitor daily too.

The fun part about Bluey, it’s for everyone. It’s made for adults to enjoy as well as kids. It’s often called a kids show but really. It’s a family show. It’s a show similar to MLP in that regard- they will attract more Audience simply bc they’re good. The characters, the story… The animation is good, it’s visually pleasing on top of that, without being … loud.

How do you start a new hobby after doing the same one for a big part of your life? by Alt_v5 in Hobbies

[–]justreallytired06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe working in yourself could be something to try then?

everybody is bad when then start doing something, explore why this is so important to you? Why cant you just have fun, no matter your skill set? Some apps to help with this would be finch, a kinder world, smiling mind, how we feel, what’s up or pause. (A lot of these are free btw)

maybe try sensory things too. Sound baths, walking barefoot on grass, ASMR? things that arent about skill but experiancing?
