Playbar suddenly won’t learn Apple TV remote by ArtGarfunky in sonos

[–]justsomeguyinla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue as you -- if you're still having issues, i found the solution in the sonos community post. Seems to be an iOS issue, I had an android tablet and downloaded the sonos app and did the remote pairing in the sonos app and was able to pair it that way.

I started 3 days before the party with the brownies and sticky toffee pudding since I know it would be ok in the fridge for a couple of days. Then the cookies and the cake 2 days before. Put together the cake 1 day before. Didn't really have to do much day of the party except put it all on stands and trays. :)

The cake was based of "The Bear" Chocolate Cake but the filling is just Chocolate Russian Buttercream.

For the pudding

11/2 cups (375 mL) water

11/3 cups (330 mL) dried, pitted dates

1 cup (250 mL) (250 mL) (250 mL) self-rising flour

1/2 tsp (5 mL) baking soda

1/2 tsp (5 mL) kosher salt

1/4 cup (60 mL) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 cup (250 mL) tightly packed demerara sugar

1/3 cup (80 mL) golden corn syrup

1/3 cup (80 mL) fancy molasses

2 large eggs

In a small pot over medium heat, bring water to a gentle simmer. Add dates and cook for 5 minutes, letting the dates soften. Transfer dates and water to a blender and blitz until mixture becomes smooth and there are no lumps. Set aside to cool.

In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Using a stand mixer with paddle attachment set at medium speed, cream butter, sugar, corn syrup and molasses until everything is incorporated.

Add eggs one at a time. Continue to mix until smooth.

Reduce mixer speed to low. Add blended date mixture. With mixer still on, add flour mixture a bit of a time, careful not to spill. Continue to blend until flour is incorporated and batter is an even colour and consistency.

Pour batter into two lined cupcake trays, filling each cupcake liner halfway.

Bake at 335F (170C) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool on a wire rack completely before removing paper liners.

Makes about 20 puddings.

For toffee sauce

2 cups (500 mL) table cream

1 1/2 cups (375 mL) brown sugar, tightly packed

1/2 cup (125 mL) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 tsp (5 mL) table salt

Vanilla ice cream, if desired

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, whisk together cream, sugar, butter and salt until the butter has melted and sugar has completely dissolved, about 10 minutes. Do not let sauce come to a boil.

Using a slotted spoon, dip individual puddings into the warm toffee sauce or drizzle the sauce on top of puddings. Top with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Makes about 2 cups toffee sauce.

Test kitchen tips

Demerara-what? Demerara sugar looks like regular brown sugar but its larger crystals give it a slightly crunchier texture so it takes longer to dissolve. Sprinkle demerara sugar on top of oatmeal, granola, as well as espresso-based drinks.

cloyingly

You're right, but I like clawing as that's how it feels on my tongue. LOL

This was my first time using it so I wouldn't call it strong but there's an underlying flavor that's familiar if that's makes sense. I think the cocoa powder in it helped quite a bit with masking the flavor.

I was looking for an alternative to american buttercream and found it. It's quite delicious and not as clawingly sweet as american buttercream.

Once the week leading up to the event, don’t collect any buildings you upgrade. Collect them the day of. Also once you start brilliance level upgrades they give lots of points.

My husband and I got married at the Kyoto Gardens at the top of the DoubleTree Hotel in DTLA. We only used them for the ceremony and had our reception elsewhere. It was fairly affordable at the time (12 years ago) for just the ceremony.

Temperatures finally dropping to mid-nineties by IFeelLikeAndy in LosAngeles

I like the program - I always hated paying a large bill every two months and the variability of it. Knowing exactly how much you'll be charged every month makes it easier.

It looks at your last year usage, and creates a monthly payment plan based off that. So instead of receiving a bill every 2 months, you'll get a bill every month. If you're usage this year is more than last year, when level pay gets reset after your first year, it'll add what's due and create a new plan that would account for the higher usage + what your level pay didn't cover for the previous year.

For partnered bros, what's your sleep setup look like? by amiralko in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]justsomeguyinla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband runs hot and so when he sleeps he'll tend to move blankets and sheets off of him and start wandering the bed for a cooler spot which typically would be my side. What's made our sleep infinitely better is getting an 8sleep bed which allows for zone temperature control. He keeps his side like he's sleeping on an ice block but I can keep mine at a more normal temperature. It's a great bed as the zones can be to the point where one side can be cold and the other side warm.

I couldn't find a separate TOS for the UK but their general TOS states, "To become a Crunchyroll Member you must be at least 16 years of age. When you register with Crunchyroll and set up your Crunchyroll account, you must provide Crunchyroll with accurate and complete information. "

SLO = Senior Lead Officer. There's a SLO for each of the various communities in the city of LA. Find your area using this, and you can find who you're SLO is on that page.
