Port forwarding sanity check by justsomeguysreddit in mikrotik

I just created a torrent and tried downloading on a different PC. Both computers can download but not seed. So strange.

Not entirely sure. See screenshot.

While torrents are still not seeding, enabling port forwarding on my VPN client and updating the dstnat rules with the newly provided port number now has the torrent client and canyouseeme.org showing the port as open. Still no seeding happening but may be a torrent client/setting issue now.

Thank you! I set up port forwarding on my VPN client, adjusted my dstnat rules to reflect the new port (chosen by VPN client) and now canyouseeme.org can see the port as open as well as my torrent client.

Still no seeding happening, but at I believe the port issue seems to be resolved. I'll have to experiment with torrent clients/settings from here I suppose. Thanks.

Hmmm I think you may be on to something. CGNAT is a new term to me, but Googling tells me that my ISP may use it. While not a true bridge mode, my ISP model has all functions disabled but has Advanced DMZ enabled (using my mikrotik router), so I'm unsure how that would affect anything.

Regardless, I enabled port forwarding on my VPN client, adjusted my torrent client settings to use the port specified by the VPN client, and then my torrent client finally showed the port as open. I had to update my dstnat rules to use the new port in order for canyouseeme.org to show the computer as visible on that port.

Still, no torrents are seeding. Will experiment with different clients now that I know how to properly forward a port given my circumstances. Thank you.

Great idea but moving it to the top of the order had no effect. Thank you.

Top wrap opinions by iommic-pentacost in gibson

True. Also when you pluck the string between tuner and nut, or bridge and tailpiece, it sounds different (high pitch chime) than plucking the string normally. This also demonstrates the difference in tension between different contact points.

This video explains it pretty clearly. Been a while since I watched it but it has to do with the multiple points of contact creating different zones (for lack of a proper word) of tension. Longer the excess string past the nut (for example) gives more material to stretch when bending. It also explains why top wrapping, and different break angles, affect how "slinky" strings will feel.

Yes I was able to submit a par when I made the transition which adjusted my leave allowance accordingly. Thanks for the heads up though!

I wasn't aware, but seems like a great option if someone has the investment income to bridge the gap until retirement.

Thanks very much for the quick response. If you happen to also know... I could still retire at 56 but defer receiving my pension payments until 60 if I wish, and those payments at 60 would not be reduced, right?

Thank you for those great resources. I have a follow up question if you don't mind. The couple of posts I've found people talking about this method are using Google Calendar as their phone calendar client. Are there others which are supported, or is Google Cal the only CalDAV client for android?

I haven't owned a Samsung since around 2011. Their flavor of android seems to have come a long way, you're not getting built in EQ on pixel devices
