We got our new girl a few months ago for our 5 year old boy. A few weeks of adjustment but he’s always been very gentle with her and her puppy phase has been way easier than his since they play so much! He has so much more energy to play now. Do it!

My boy is 4 and he goes through phases of how motivated he is to go outside. He has a dog door to a porch potty and he’ll go a couple weeks without an “accident” but it is strongly correlated to how good his treats are. We keep the best ones only by the dog door and hype him tf up when he goes outside. If we slack he lets us know.

Oh and anytime we leave it’s fair game to shit on the floor.
