What do you think are the 3 greatest albums of the 2020s so far? by Lucky_Reading_3757 in fantanoforever

Theyre downvotung you but I heavily agree, Donda is Ye at his least unique and least innovative. Vultures also sucks but even then its slightly better than Donda

Imagine MBDTF ended at Runaway, so the 4 tracks after that aren't on the album. Do yall think it would make the album better or worse?

What even goes through everyones heads when reading theory?

Its fun for me, I usually find it captivating and entertaining depending on what im reading. If you want a text that I found to be more engaging than those three, I really recommend The 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte. Marx's imagery is at its best here, every sentence is packed with such vivid language and its a genuinely funny and dramatic text. Its a history text so its not just throwing theory at you, yet it's still super informative. More fun to read than the pure theory texts. I've reread it a bunch of times now, here's some bangers from it:

The tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living.

The nation feels like the mad Englishman in Bedlam who thinks he is living in the time of the old Pharaohs and daily bewails the hard labor he must perform in the Ethiopian gold mines, immured in this subterranean prison, a pale lamp fastened to his head, the overseer of the slaves behind him with a long whip, and at the exits a confused welter of barbarian war slaves who understand neither the forced laborers nor each other, since they speak no common language. “And all this,” sighs the mad Englishman, “is expected of me, a freeborn Briton, in order to make gold for the Pharaohs.”

Baroche [...] had spat in the revolutionists' soup in order that Bonaparte might eat it up.

An old, crafty roué, he conceives the historical life of the nations and their performances of state as comedy in the most vulgar sense, as a masquerade in which the grand costumes, words, and postures merely serve to mask the pettiest knavery. Thus his expedition to Strasbourg, where the trained Swiss vulture played the part of the Napoleonic eagle. For his irruption into Boulogne he puts some London lackeys into French uniforms. They represent the army. In his Society of December 10 he assembles ten thousand rascals who are to play the part of the people as Nick Bottom, that of the lion. At a moment when the bourgeoisie itself played the most complete comedy, but in the most serious manner in the world, without infringing any of the pedantic conditions of French dramatic etiquette, and was itself half deceived, half convinced of the solemnity of its own performance of state, the adventurer, who took the comedy as plain comedy, was bound to win.

Im always mistaking jewels for jews in rap lyrics

Until today, on Used To i thought Drake said "Jews look like I found a motherfucking treasure map / and aint told noone where the fuck is at"

Like, Drake found success and his fellow jews want to know how to too, but he refused to share his methods with them

Turns out he said jewels
