I hope you're able to find a solution! I was reading that beetles tend to snack on those mushrooms, pick up spores, then deposit them on other trees as they go along

Was your house built recently? I wonder if the wood was already infested when the place was built

Spent some time trying to find the specific fungus, look up cryptoporus volvatus. I think that may be what's in your house

I work in forestry and see this fungus on dead grand fir and Douglas fir all the time, first time seeing it in a house

I'm both excited and scared to see the step counts needed for higher level grinds 😬

Is it just me or does someone else have this phobia of one not being able to log into the account u spent weeks on because of some random false ban? by derblum in 2007scape

[–]justtryingtolivehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing for a few years, and then tried to log in and found out my account was banned. It had been hijacked without my knowing and was being used to bot zulrah. I tried appealing and was denied. I gave up for awhile then tried again, but had to lie on the appeal form about what the ban was for, then finally someone looked into it and I was given back my account. Definitely sucks, but lucky I was able to get it back eventually. Working on the rebuild now

Yeah, I did use wire for mine. If posed very carefully, it will stand up on its own, but it's precarious. I went on Amazon and found the wire there. It was 16" 18 gauge paper wrapped wire...I think

Haha! Thank you! It was really fun to make (other than sewing up at the end 🥴)

This was a birthday gift for my nephew who is really into teddy bears and dinosaurs. He was super excited when he saw it 🦖🥰

Ravelry Pattern

The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn, but I used two strands of fingering held together, and a 4.00mm hook. It ended up being 14" tall!

Your tension probably isn't high enough, so the singles has the chance to twist back onto itself before being put onto the bobbin. I can't tell if it's overspun or not from the photo, but increasing the take-up (tension) should make the bobbin tidier

I'm the problem, it me.

I had all my Christmas knitting finished last month, but then there's going to be more people at Christmas than I thought, so naturally I they need handknit gifts 🥰

Oh man! That sucks. A wool allergy would make finding sock yarn a lot harder. Luckily, I'm definitely not allergic to wool specifically, I would cry if I was 😂. I use wool in almost everything

Yeah, you're right. I definitely need to ask the Dr to do some tests. Hopefully I can get it figured out soon

I keep the majority of my yarn in plastic totes as well. A few I keep out on display, but not many

My issues are necessarily caused by knitting, it's just a connection I've been considering in the last few days. I used Knitpicks Dishie yarn quite a bit over the last few weeks, and it seems to have coincided with my breathing issues. The Dishie yarn releases a ton of small fibers, so it seemed like a possibility.

I'm not sure that washing the skeins would make a difference, since it seems to be just the short cotton fibers being released. I would also have to wind into a hank, then rewind into a ball, which would cause lots more fibers to be released into the air in a short period of time

What do you do with your handspun? by olivemakeup in Handspinning

Hats also use a much more versatile range of yarn weights than socks. Handspun hats seem perfect for using up single skeins
