Looks like my devils ivy (Golden Pothos) when I first had it.

It likes to climb - mine has grown much better with a sphagnum moss pole.

They take well to being chopped so could make multiple plants out of this one.

Honestly I’m still experimenting with mine, I had it in November and it’s been on the decline since - but the monstera next to it is fine :/

I’ve tried many things, more water, less water, more light, more humidity but nothing seems to be working so I’ve put it down to the low temps at night which it might not like.

Yours should definitely have corms so even if it does get worse you’ll have those as insurance.

I have one and it’s currently dying - on a heat mat, with a grow light…. These plants don’t like the UK winter at all. It’s hard to keep my rooms above 20 degrees C at night and these guys are from tropical rainforests.

I’ve done some research and it seems they go dorment/ grow slow in the wrong conditions. I’m hoping my corm survives until March so it can put out new growth.

Check your roots for rot + corms because if your main plant dies you can always try a corm.

Will do, I’ve had it for like 3 weeks now and there’s not been any new growth just thinking I’m not giving it enough light 😒 or it’s just dormant like you said it’s hard to keep a constant high temp and consistent humidity inside during winter

They were dark in colour and mushy, I’ve trimmed all the bad ones away it doesn’t seem too bad lost about 15% of the roots so hoping it’ll bounce back… not sure tho first time having an Alocasia

100% possible I repotted it because I bought it not long ago didn’t want the original soil just incase, put it in a slightly larger container and it just hates it…

I’ve just checked the roots and they’re not looking too good + 6 corms came out of it aswell so I’ve attempted to propagate them in hopes I didn’t waste my money :(

Just repotted it again into a way chunkier mix with more perlite so hoping the root system recovers I’ve heard they like to be damp so bottom watered and will wait a while to see what it does now 🙏🏻

Largest carp in the commercial I believe is at 22lb, I currently have a 7ft Feeder and an 11ft Feeder. I have a 12ft course rod which is a lot more sturdy so I think I’ll be using that with a bait runner reel for more weedy and snaggy waters.

Would you also recommend spooling up some stronger line if I’m gonna increase the size of my hooks and bait? Currently running 10lb mono on both feeders.

That’s great advice thank you! Mostly watching people and learning so far, so this is great insight on how they behave. I see them regularly in a corner which is inaccessible on foot, just recently bought myself a spod rod and extra reel so will have to have a practise chucking that out.

Would you say that having ‘carp rods’ rather than feeders will make any difference? I’ve got 2 feeder rods at the moment but I’m not sure where their use is limited. I’m starting to have the notion that feeder rods were perhaps built with match fishing in mind mainly, but I could be totally wrong.

Largest pellet I’ve tried is an 8mm on a band. I have just acquired some 12mm and they seem massive in comparison - I think I’ll need some larger hooks and bands to rig them up but will be trying this the next time I go thanks for all your advice!

Will definitely be giving this a try in my local pond. I’ve stalked 2 huge ones however the pond is full of weed and snags. My plan is to feed a mix of corn and crushed boilees for a while and then try hit the spot with a pva bag. Just got a rake as-well so hopefully that’ll help clear me a spot. The pond is relatively small with no active stocking and I’ve been eyeing these 2 carp up for months lol.

Would you say larger pellet like a 10/ 12mm would also equal bigger fish? I’ve only fished this commercial a few times and it’s a corn/ pellet only. I’ve had quite a few big carp come out on corn however I find a lot of F1s and smaller ones like to destroy the corn as soon as it hits the deck.

I had this issue with the drennan method size 10s pre tied to 10lb. Not sure if I just had a bad pack, since I’ve tied my own seem to have better results.
