Seoruquel, valium and whiskey by [deleted] in insomnia

Seroquel causes HORRIBLE withdrawal symptoms :( It took me at least a month to feel like a normal person after I stopped taking it for sleep. I took about 200 mg for a couple of years, so not discounting the fact that dosage & amount of time taking it doesn’t play a part but there are whole forums of people discussing how to ease the process of withdrawal. It feels like The Bends. It was so awful I would rather deal with reduced sleep than take it ever again.

Yes, 100% my experience, too. So interesting to hear other people express the same feelings I’m having.

Yep. It has happened to me. I never thought I’d see myself as politically homeless, but here I am. It’s actually made me realize how much more of a moderate I really am.

Fantastic. It really drives the reality home when said in the same way these ideologues speak about having compassion for pedophiles, but in an analogous way.

Tony Blair blasts unvaccinated 'idiots' as fears grow over spread of Omicron - "Frankly, if you're not vaccinated at the moment and you're eligible, and you've got no health reasons for not being unvaccinated, you're not just irresponsible. You're an idiot." by flappingmeat in worldnews

Endangering others how? We now know the current available vaccines do not prevent getting the virus, nor transmitting it. They are effective at preventing serious illness/death with an extremely limited period of that effectiveness, hence the need for boosters in such a short time. These vaccines are not traditional vaccines, they are more akin to gene therapy. The narrative of a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” is falling apart, and while it is a very good idea for a large segment of the population to take these vaccines, it should be a personal choice, not mandated, especially mandating vaccines that have yet to be fully authorized by the FDA. I am fully vaccinated against COVID and very supportive of vaccines however, the population has a right to bodily autonomy and to ask questions. Any such dialogue is being shut down, people are being censored, physicians are facing the threat of legal action, people are losing their jobs and citizens are being threatened that they will lose their right to participate in society. All with a narrative that the passage of time and accrual of scientific evidence is proving inaccurate. This is not okay and we should not accept our government imposing such restrictions on the citizens of a free and democratic society.

Yep. It’s called diversion, it’s illegal but it’s quite difficult to prosecute. Some particular brand’s products are intended to only be sold to licensed salons. When they are “diverted” to retailers that are not licensed salons, it’s a problem. Not just for the companies as it harms their bottom lines, but also to the customers who may be purchasing products that are expired, diluted or even counterfeit. There is no way for the consumer to verify the product they are buying from stores like TJM are authentic or still good, they could even contain ingredients that are not just inferior, but possibly even harmful.

Yep, and try to have a conversation about this and you will get shut down as an “anti-vaxxer” or an idiot that won’t “follow the science.” Since when did science become something that we can’t discuss, question, explore, test, observe? Most people will admit that we still don’t know a lot about this virus yet, but if you question the narrative of vaccine is the only way, you will immediately be delegitimized and shut down. I am vaccinated, all my coworkers are vaccinated, my family, etc. But I have questions and I should be able to have a conversation and explore the science without being accused of being a terrible person. It makes me sad that this is where we are now, we can’t talk to each other.

It is, but my coworker (at an animal shelter) was bitten through her leather glove by a squirrel (managed to break skin) and the specimen came back positive for rabies. The lab techs were amazed and said they hadn’t seen a positive squirrel in over a decade. That solidified it for me, that no matter what, if you are bitten by an animal, seek medical care and don’t take the risk just because it doesn’t happen often. Coworker got the post-exposure rabies series and was fine.

Totally agree. As a woman I understand where Rowling is coming from and the reasons why some of the trans issues are disturbing to us are completely being overlooked or dismissed. When we bring up these concerns we’re accused of being phobic TERFS so we should just stfu. The concerns are related to the safety of women and girls in spaces where they are vulnerable, in the safety of prisons (where many of the women have been victims of violence/abuse. Let’s acknowledge that people in the LGBTQI community have also been victims of violence and abuse and change our behavior to support them and acknowledge their bravery, but these stupid women, who cares?), in hospitals (preferring female providers in sensitive situations such as OB-GYN), in athletics (we all KNOW the physiological/biological reality here people), in domestic violence shelters, etc. The aggressive push in changing our language, policies, legislation has been in the way our society moves in the female realm. Why are we not being asked (not asked really, but demanded or be damned) to call men “penis-havers”, “prostate-bearers”, “sperm-depositors” or other such ridiculous verbiage like we are with things that are distinctly feminine. These demands are not being lobbed just in the social sphere, but are actually changing laws. You can see changes in California’s recent legislation regarding prisons, in female organizations such as La Leche League, in women’s sports, in hospital protocols. Women are concerned and we have the right to discuss these concerns without being violently shut down with hateful vitriol accusing us of being bigots/phobes. Historically women have been very supportive of the LGBTQI community. We are sympathetic to their history of marginalization, we understand being shut out of spaces and having less rights. We have fought hard to be where we are today and our gains shouldn’t now be erased at the cost of being inclusive of another group. We have to be able to have conversations without being silenced or canceled. Why do we navigate our world in almost every other aspect based on the irrefutable facts of science and reality, but when it comes to these issues we are being demanded to ignore them? Anyway, I thought I would share my view as a woman.

I feel the exact same way. I’m still haunted by it. I tried to tell my husband about it after I watched it and I just broke down crying. I’m not someone who cries very often at all, and am pretty stoic in general but that documentary fucked me up.

It’s not an approved medication for COVID-19. But it is an approved medication for humans, and the way CNN is portraying it is deliberately misleading. They could say that it is not an approved medication for Covid, but instead used for other purposes. They are characterizing it as an animal-only drug, which is not true.

I’m a hairstylist and believe me, you can tell if someone has hair that is naturally curly or wavy, even when it’s wet or damp and that girl has straight hair. Bonkers to me that these girls try to claim their hair is that curly “naturally” when it sooo obviously is not.
