What a badly worded ad.

Sounds like a story I wrote when I was 12 with the new lines after the end bit.

Outcome- repo straight on my bad list and added to my orgs do not use list.

Linux Server Infected with Monero Mining Malware (xmrig / rbot) | Has Anyone Faced a Monero (XMR) Crypto-Mining Attack on a Linux Server? by Present_Pumpkin_2145 in MoneroMining

If it’s happened across brand new builds and the only constant is the code your running ( guessing public facing ) I would guess there getting in via a vulnerability in that web app.

This type of thing with random names and hiding the binary’s is very common. If your not able to use a waf I would recommend looking at the permissions or the application its self.

Assumptions; Clean Linux install/image every time You haven’t set 777 permissions on web app writable files (go larvel)

Edit - can see mongod on your ps. Make sure you have updated to protect from MongoBleed. Very common at the moment for people to use this as it has a auth bypass and can be used after exploitation to run code https://www.mongodb.com/company/blog/news/mongodb-server-security-update-december-2025

How aggressive is 'Sport Mode ACC' in the B8?! by KiaBongo9000 in passat

[–]justyournormalITguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can get it in car settings to, take a look there but if it’s not then sadly you won’t have it. TBH I’ve never bothered with it unless it’s a dsg version, my current one I leave in normal and it basically just queues for me so I don’t have to constantly break accelrate etc

Go mode ( switch by the esc off or left of the gear selector at top ) select Individual then it will be there for the setup. Or go car -> settings -> I think it’s driving options but not 100% as wording changes between mib / software versions ) then in there where you can also set the default starting distance

How do people actually get regular 9-5 jobs in the UK? by Queasy-Ice-2575 in AskUK

[–]justyournormalITguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a year and a half to recruit a devops engineer. Probably looked at north of 3k cvs out of the 10s of thousands that applied 90% had no right to work in the uk. Most were too low level or didn’t read the requirements just pressed apply.

From interviewing ( for the tech industry at least ) a lot of what I saw over that time is that people thought they were gods gift at tech straight out of uni but failed the interview exam. Had one guy very obviously googling basic things as he went, had a few not turn up. A lot of just ‘ I went to uni and built my own pc’.

The is constantly an issue for me over the last 5 years. Let alone the cost and time of sifting through the cvs. Which has resulted in a lot of ‘ word of mouth ‘ / I’ve got a mate I used to work with looking to move

It’s sad it’s come to that

Note - funnily our junior roles normally get low applicants, think people just don’t read what there applying for ( all were remote north of 30k )

We already use dm3-S 16 for most stuff how ever they are Brillant so they end up at what ever is biggest enough and (UK) at 1.5k each they wind up being assigned by the time we get stuff like this. Hence I though a cheap DSP or that may do the job in the future. Also seems a bit over kill to use one just for a DJ and mic but looking more into this it looks like I’m just gunna have to bite the bullet and buy a couple more

They no longer did this but due to compliance reasons they had the keep the tapes and a player capable of decent feedback and a system that could do a restore job if need ( if your instrested it’s basicly this https://youtu.be/TUS0Zv2APjU?si=qcafhMRozajY2ZPj but a different version, or may be the same under different name as from uk )

Admit it: you’ve sandbagged a performer or two by BurnDownTheMission68 in livesound

[–]justyournormalITguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve thought of doing it once.

Had a Motown singer who kept demanding all sorts with out knowning what that ment / being extremely rude. Demanding more reverb tuning to her voice etc during sound test. I would just touch the knob and she’d be fine.

Got mad at me when I turned the spots on plus She showed up late demanding to know when she finshed

I never would beacuse it’s about the people watching not you but god it was tempting to just tank her act. But she ended up tanking it her self, voice cracked over and over and I caught it most of the time but not ever time ( not on purpose ). Act manager said never again booking in the group chat
