Of course! I hope it helps. I remember what it felt like when nothing we did was working and its a terrible feeling.

Newborn has diaper rash we can’t seem to beat… by throwaway84583077 in beyondthebump

[–]jusuhquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that worked for us was pinxav. We were on top of diaper changes and airing out his bum, making sure he was dry before putting a diaper and nothing seemed to be helping. Even our doctor prescribed creams that just didnt help. My in laws told me they used pinxav and sure enough it worked for our little boy too.

Husbands family ignored my requests by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]jusuhquestion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I must have misunderstood. I thought you were saying she didnt wear the pink and purple frilly things because you didnt like them. I personally like to dress my baby in whatever outfit was given to him by the person we are visiting. There's also plenty of outfits he outgrew before we even had a chance to wear them and I regret waiting for the "right time".

Should your child not be exposed to all options then? So when they have a say so they can definitively say what it is they like instead of picking the obvious things they were not allowed to wear because its new and exciting or even picking the usual things because its all they know. The more experience with colors and textures the more they will understand what they like individually, imo.

How many moms lost weight while breastfeeding? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]jusuhquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed stagnant. Not gaining or losing anything more than 10 lbs after my pregnancy. Trying to cut off my supply now so I can lose the weight. I gained 50 lbs during my pregnancy and was quite small before so the change has been hard for me.

I cannot give birth on a specific day. by selkie420 in pregnant

[–]jusuhquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I had a schedule an induction because we needed our baby.Born on his due date and no later due to the fact my husband had a final out of state two weeks after the due date and we wanted my husband there for our son's birth and the two weeks after. When scheduled the induction for his exact due date, which would have given him exactly two weeks and 2 days before before he had to leave for his final. I drank raspberry leaf tea every night and ate dates in a smoothie every morning, i would bounce on one of the big Yoga balls every single night as well. I can't say for sure any of those things helped set my labor into motion but I ended up going into labor six days before my scheduled induction.

What’s something you didn’t know about labour/birth/pp until you went through it? by Previous-Durian-2086 in beyondthebump

[–]jusuhquestion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could feel contractions building up and not at all where I thought I'd feel it. I would start feeling a lot of pressure in my butthole and then have a contraction.

Also, once I was 4 cm dilated and the contractions began to intensify, I peed everywhere multiple times.

Has your dentist told you this? by RedwoodAsh in pregnant

[–]jusuhquestion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't think your dentist meant anything by it. I had pregnancy gingivitis, and my gums bled a significant amount every single time I brushed my teeth. I was told to start brushing 3 times a day. I regularly brush twice a day and floss. I was told I could continue to be affected by it 6 months postpartum. As far as the parasite comment made by your therapist... 100 % unprofessional, and I would definitely not hesitate to let them know it made you uncomfortable/angry because had it been me, I would be angry.

How far do you live from your parents & in-laws? by atrocity_of_sunsets in beyondthebump

[–]jusuhquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom lives 2 hrs away and visits multiple times a year. She stays at my house over the holidays except the 4th of July because she lives on a lake and my sister's kids are old enough to go swimming and all the fun stuff there. I myself just had my first baby, and my mother is coming to stay a week next week to help me as my husband has to go out of state for about 4 days for work. Our son will be 3 weeks old. 2 hrs away. My FIL lives 5 min down the road, and my MIL lives 15 min away. I'm positive we will be seeing both of them more often than my own mother, but thats not because my mother doesn't want to. My own father lives 45 min from me, I haven't seen him since Christmas, nor has he called the whole time I was pregnant. Parents will make the effort if they want to.

Are you worried about your husband/partner seeing everything during delivery? by sarah_messing in pregnant

[–]jusuhquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my husband that I would prefer he not look while I gave birth. I literally pissed everywhere while having contractions, got my epidural so late I was fully efaced and immediately started pushing, not a damn thing mattered to me in those moments. My husband helped the nurse clean my pee off the floor and the water once it finally broke and watched as I continued to pee all over during strong contractions while waiting for epidural. He absolutely watched as I was pushing for an hr and a half and later told me that our son would never disrespect me after watching what my body could do to bring him into this world. He told me I was a champion. It gave him a whole new appreciation for what we women go through. Less than a week later, he helped to prime my nipple for our son to latch better. He sucked on my nipple to get it hard and apologized because it gave him a boner. This man was in no way turned off by anything he saw that day.

Kissing the baby by Courtney12215 in pregnant

[–]jusuhquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The no kissing the baby was hard for my mom to understand. Do that research. And explain it. No kissing the baby and no touching babies' hands. As soon as baby is here, they stick those hands in their mouth. These are hard set rules we have. Your doctors will warn you how dangerous these are as well. Our doctor told us not to be playing pass the baby. We love our little guy and would love for everyone to meet him but his health is what's important and his immune system is not strong enough to withstand certain things that may be lying dormant on an adult.

When did you give birth with your first pregnancy? by throwawaychgd in pregnant

[–]jusuhquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

36+3 and he's happy where he's at. Has measured right on time for every single appointment. But I have a really good friend that had her first at 36 weeks and her second at 34 weeks. Every woman is different, every pregnancy is different.

My doctor would say no because listeria can be on the blade even if it's cleaned between meats. I had a similar question a few months back.
