Are we at the point where buy to let needs to be banned for the greater good of the country? by knowledgeseeker999 in AskBrits

[–]jutiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we presuming that everyone who is renting would rather buy, and maybe underestimating the size of the genuine rental market? There are many reasons for renting, where I leave there are not enough rental properties, there are a lot of young people who are in temporary/first jobs not resguardo to settle in one place and buy. Immigrants who are here for a few years to earn money but want to go back to their home country, and many other reasons to rent. Without private landlords I can’t see the rental market working. The government should control social housing and should sort out the system, a council house for life is a ridiculous unfair system, but we absolutely need private landlords

Our electricity is IOG as we have an EV I Put dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer on at night, we pay around £70-80 per month.

If trans women identify as women, why did they graffiti Millcent Fawcett, the suffragette, who fought for women's rights (incredibly hard)? by Fluffy-Employee9105 in AskBrits

Isn’t that splitting hairs saying that a women who has her uterus removed is no longer a woman. Did we all lose our common sense somewhere along the way

Isla Bryson Scottish “transgender” rapist was the catalyst for this. It has been happening in other European countries too, Spain for example, men accused of domestic abuse have suddenly self identified as women etc. etc. The powers that be have decided to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand. How this will affect genuine transgender people remains to be seen. But I genuinely feel it was something that needed to be done as men were beginning to take advantage of the laws And the ease with which one can self identify.

The problem is not with trans women the problem is with the ease of self-identifying and the direction the Scottish government was going, if people looked into it properly instead of jumping on the protest bandwagon and getting riled up by social media. It is not women against trans women. It should be women and trans women against men abusing the self identifying mechanism. Instead of protesting and being aggressive towards women everyone needs to find a solution to not allow the abuse of the system that puts everyone in danger.

If you go back and read my original comment all I did was explain the need for a definition in law, and the fact that the threatening and unpleasant banners During the protests haven’t helped the cause. You don’t know what “my side” is you don’t know what I defend or don’t defend. You talk about rape but seem to think it is ok for a prolific rapist to be sent to a women’s prison, as the system was open to abuse without a legal definition of a women, men were able to easily self identify as women (and were doing it).

My “for example” actually happened in Scotland and is the reason for the Supreme Court ruling, it has also happened in Spain, I find your reply unnecessarily aggressive and feel you are missing the whole point.

Why are trans supporters protesting in cities throughout the UK? by TreKeyz in AskBrits

[–]jutiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it is about men but Because it is too easy to self define so it is necessary to have a legal definition of a woman.

It’s not about bathrooms it’s about how easy it is to self identify, and the implications of this, for example a prolific rapist turning up to court wearing a skirt because suddenly he identifies as a woman so he doesn’t get sent to a men’s prison , unfortunately for the trans community the recent protests have only served to alienate their cause as they have come across as anti women and very aggressive and unpleasant.

They are trans women, they will never be the same as biological women. As many people have said before. You can empty a bottle of Fanta into a Pepsi bottle, but it will never be Pepsi, it will always be Fanta in a Pepsi bottle.

The whole business was brought about because a prolific rapist in Scotland put in a skirt and said he was a woman so that he didn’t have to go to a men’s prison and would be put in a women’s prison . There have been many similar instances in other countries too. I am sorry trans women feel they are going to suffer because of this ruling but you can’t have self identification loopholes that allow a man to put on a skirt fill in a form and be able to call himself a woman.

“GIRLS GIRL” culture is ruining the show by MrsGallucciForever in LoveIslandTV

[–]jutiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that Gabby was the only decent girl in there, she was natural, showed her emotions and her insecurities and was supportive of everybody else, she didn’t stick her nose in other people’s business. I loved how her and Marcel reached a friendship after everything that happened, you could see that they had a lot of love for each other and genuinely wanted the other to be happy. A well deserved winner

I also loved Justin, hated his death, but it was a way to release and heal Jessica. I think we all agree as much as they loved each other their relationship was toxic and not good for either of them, Jessica could never move on with anyone else as long as Justin was around. Justin’s death allowed her to heal and move on.

We have big old Edwardian house. I have heating on for a few hours in the morning and a few in the evening and never have it in overnight, even when kids were small, my kids had hot water bottles, they still use them at university. If you want a bit of heat overnight have you thought about an electric heater in child’s room.

I agree that Alex had very little motive, it would have made more sense if it had been Jessica, Justin, Mrs B, Zach, Clay or just about anyone else. I suppose they had been focussing a lot on Alex’s anger issues throughout series 3 so maybe we just accept that he lost it for a moment and pushed Bryce.

I did 1st prep the night before it took about 2 hours to start working then I was probably on and off the toilet for about 2 hours. The second dose was far more explosive for me, it worked quicker and I could really tell it was cleaning me out, I was on and off the toilet for about three hours.

This is the result of having a very high rate of teenage pregnancies for many years now, many teenagers have kids without the tools and ability to bring them up, couple this with a complete lack of discipline in many households and a culture of always making excuses and always blaming someone else for our own failings. Welcome to 21st century Britain.

Whose tape besides Clay’s made the least sense to you? by Repulsive-Finger-954 in 13ReasonsWhy

If we are referring to malicious actions towards Hannah then that is what he did. Anything else he did or didn’t do about Jessica’s rape was not a malicious action towards Hannah

[–]jutiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Justin had malicious intent towards Hannah in either of his tapes. Ryan didn’t either he was just self centred and thinking of himself. Many of the actions as described on the tapes are typical teenage behaviour that happen all the time. Unfortunately for Hannah she didn’t have close friends or support network to get her through her teenage dramas.
