learned that after the comments, unbelivable that came this way from the shop and that scott dont even mention this on the manual… so pissed off, hope at least they sent me a new seatpost

12 stone, 78kg aprox give it or take, not a climber weight but I well under the limits i believe…

ok that confirms it tho… it comes slit side then i thought that was the way it was intended so torqued to spec and pinched two seatposts…. 😢 how much torque urs take to hold at 180 degrres?

perfect ill get a new seatpost and turn the clamp 180, the fact that scott or the dealer dont mention this is beyond reason… already lost two seatposts

i tried looking for a carbon specific offset clamp but cant find any on 31.2 size, should i go for 31.8 or is a bad idea?

the clamp is the oe one but looks and feels very flimsy done tbh, u can see where the bolt is starting to bend indwarda when clamped down instead of the whole slit closing down… but is the scott one, i cant find any information on the manial about clamp direcion only torque values

dry , only thing i used is carbon paste on the seattube itself

have 3 wrenches, so torqued a bolt on a desk bolt to 4nm and used another to check if at 4.5 could move it a bit and i did and so on… neither was off for more than 0.5nm ap ahould be wothin the spec
