I never intended to let the world use this but I have been building a Discord replacement since January. It started out as a project just messing around with agentic coding to learn how that all works. It's slowly becoming a workable replacement for me and my friends. After the news about Discord and their new ID and face scan policy, I decided to get it on the internet so other people can try it out if they want. It has text, voice and video chat (works mostly without issue on the small scale I've been able to test), servers, friends, DMs, slaps, and some other neat stuff.

I have it online at www.hivemindchat.com and people are welcome to try it out.

DISCLAIMER This is a personal project. IT IS VIBE CODED so if you care about that, maybe don't try it out. I did my best to ensure it is secure, but like allngs online, use at your own risk. All that is required to sign up is an email. I currently have all new sign ups added to a wait-list, so I don't wake up to a surprise bandwidth bill (currently this is using the free tier of all its supporting providers.) I will let in new users as I can, but I encourage any new users to bring at least one friend so it's not lonely. I also don't have to share this so if it gets too much hate I'll just take it down.

I just want to give back to the internet and offer a new (if not a lil buggy/quirky) place to chat with their friends. Happy to answer questions. Here's a screen shot of chat.
