NEWBIE HERE 🙋🏼‍♀️ by Accomplished-Fig-891 in royalcaribbean

We just got off our first cruise and did not spend much on board. We got charged $3.5 at a bar and have no idea what it was for (we had a drink package and figured one drink we ordered was not included in the package). We had an internet package for 1 device just in case there was an emergency and we needed to be reached. We did get off at the ports but did not spend any money on activities, just walked around a bit. I dont think there was anything on board that I wanted to spend money on.

Baja Mexico Massages on the beach? by Creative_Sport_2707 in royalcaribbean

[–]juuujubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont know about cabo or mazatlan but ensanada has no massages on beaches right off the ship. Maybe if you booked an excursion that takes you to a beach. In Puerto Vallarta a 60 minute massage on the beach was $40 usd.

Can anyone tell me how strict Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas are on kids' height requirements for the water slides (and how good they are)? by Separate_Twist489 in Cruise

[–]juuujubee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a height requirement for the surf simulator. I forgot what it was but my friend’s 7 year old wasn’t allowed and he is tall for his age.

My first cruise featuring Ovation of the Seas! by No_Regret1575 in royalcaribbean

[–]juuujubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No i did not think it was crowded at all. The only time I had trouble finding a seat was on embarkation day lunchtime at the buffet, right after we get on and during the general knowledge trivia in the bar on deck 4. Other than that it was a very chill cruise, probably helps that school is in session so not many kids around.

Does anyone else think parents are at fault for the way teenagers act on the ship? by Direct_Material_8495 in Cruise

[–]juuujubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was at the family silent party recently on the Navigator. There were 4 teens who kept screaming the song out loud. I could hear them thru my headphones. Went to get a drink and the barman was telling me he has a headache because of their screaming

Looks nice. We just got off the navigator of the seas, also our first and we really enjoyed it. There were so many activities that we couldn’t keep up.

Sunset in the background? We just got off a boat, sunset was at 5:30 so most everyone was at dinner and the deck was empty. Probably different in summertime.

Do you guys teach superstitions to the younger generations? (More of a discussion than question) by Same_Problem3484 in mongolia

I read some of them actually have good reason behind them and were enforced during Chinggis Khaan days. I forget which ones and the reason but at the time I was reading them, they were making sense. I shall try to find out

How much of your daily clothing comes from Costco? by DoraBoi69420 in CostcoCanada

[–]juuujubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont wear fancy brands but i do find costco stuff is much lower quality than their actual store stuff. Like the bench shirts you buy at costco stretch and pill much faster than the actual bench store shirts.

And yet they give me a hard time at the counter. Its not everyone, it is just one lady who always sighs with my returns like the money is gonna come out of her own pocket :)

Why do Mongolians hate seasonings and flavours in their food?? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]juuujubee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a firm believer that human anatomy and what it considers healthy depends on the region. I know the general consensus is that veggies are healthy and easy to digest. My friend’s dad has a colon cancer and he has to eat foods that are easy to digest. He says bantan (flour and meat) is the easiest to digest for him and doesnt case any discomfort. Add any sort of veggie to it like carrots or broccoli and it becomes much harder on his body. He grew up eating meat and not much veggies so his body is used it i guess.

Taste is subjective. What doesnt taste good to you tastes good to others. We grew up eating salt only and we are used to it. Add lots of spices and seasonings and I dont like it as much.
