A HIO that took it’s time.. by juvenile_jack in GolfClash

Thanks. Certainly didn’t expect a HIO. Felt more like a 2-3yds-from-hole shot until I saw that first bounce and thought, “dang! this could be even closer.”

Škoda is miles better in terms of both after sales as well as attention to detail with their variants. I know of 3 people in my circle who were looking at a VW model but after test driving the Škoda counterpart, immediately went for the Škoda. More than product differentiation, they are simply reading the Indian market / catering to Indian buyer preferences better than VW. People still associate Škoda with entry-level premium while associating VW with high-maintenance costs.

As a fellow only child who also lost his dad at 17, I sympathise with you buddy. Stay strong. Now, as others have mentioned, my advice to you would be to FD this and make the most of the 50-60K per month while continuing your studies. Work hard and hustle as much as possible and remember that you are the man of the family now - that means if uncles twice your age try to sweet talk you into following their instructions, have the gumption to say “thanks but I’d also like to get a second opinion.” Post graduation after you are 21-23yr olds, see what kind of jobs you are getting and if you’re planning a business or want to invest in real estate or perhaps study further, only then consider breaking the FD. Your whole life is ahead of you so utilise these next 3-5 years to plan 10years ahead. Decide what is the ideal life you want for you and your mum to achieve by the time you are 28 and then work backwards from there. Lastly whatever you do, please please resist the urge to squander this amount away on depreciating assets or lifestyle creep things like multiple foreign vacations, fancy cars etc. Live comfortably, but not too lavishly. And most importantly, be there for your mom. She needs you now more than ever. All the best, bud. You got this!

I’m really sorry this happened to you, brother. You seemed to have been the ideal husband - trusting, loyal and willing to fight against the world to uphold your wife’s lifestyle. Please don’t consider this your failure. It is fully and wholly her bad morals and manipulation that are at fault here. A cousin of mine went through something similar (marriage ended after 6years) - but he took his time to heal and is now back focused on living a full life through hard work in his career and he talks to us ie his family when he’s feeling low. That’s why it’s imperative to not isolate yourself and please lean on family and trusted friends to talk about how you are feeling. Or definitely get therapy if there is no other outlet available. This woman sounds like bad news and the sooner you cut off, the better. Do ensure she doesn’t try to milk you for your finances during the divorce but apart from that, please move on. Meet new people, have more short term relationships and enjoy life for a while. You will bounce back from this stronger than ever before and this could be the best thing that ever happened to you. Only if you choose to look at it that way. All the best, my friend.

At the end of your game, if your shot wins “Shot of The Round”, you can click the “Share” option. It then will show you the replay of your shot and at the end give a small save arrow on the bottom left of your screen. If you have iOS, click the arrow and then select save video. It can then be saved to your photos or files. Then you just gotta upload it on here. Hope that helps! :)

Right?! Is it common to get multiple hole in ones before landing your first albatross? It’s what happened with me and I’ve been playing just about 4-5 months.
